Aaaaaaaaaand the dance forum steals yet another buzzjack idea, but who doesn't love a good awards ceremony? Disclosure are entitled for most of these awards for bringing the deep house scene into the limelight this year with the 100% fantastic "Settle", which must be the album of the year with no competition. Cedric Gervais has Producer of The Year stitched up for breathing new life into Lana Del Rey's career and David Guetta has the undisputable worst song with the appaling, Alice Deejay-raping "Play Hard". It's a bloodbath for Song of The Year and I left two battles on both vocal performances as they were the most striking performances for me this year: the soulful white man of Will Heard and the subdued, in-bed vocals of half of Disclosure; the finger-snapping prowess of A*M*E and the loved-up smokiness of Ellie Goulding's voice.

All in all a very good year.

Well it is a pop track, but it's dancey enough for me to allow it. I won't be accepting Lady Gaga or w/e so don't try that (I will accept Work Bitch as that is very EDM and was co-produced by Otto Knows)
