We're gonna need streams to be huge next era for them to get a million seller next era! I really want that too! Anyway, Get Weird passed DNA and is now the biggest album by a western girl group this decade with over 750k pure sales worldwide!

750k pure sales is a fantastic achievement. With it's continued success not just in the UK, but globally, I'm confident we can get to the 1 million mark

These are the "official" latest updates for sales

850,000 Black Magic :plat:

533,500 Secret Love Song :gold:

532,000 Wings :gold:

492,000 Cannonball :gold:

453,000 Move :gold:

430,000 Love Me Like You :gold:

287,000 Hair :silver:

285,000 DNA :silver:

200,000 Salute :silver:

200,000 Little Me :silver:

150,000 Change Your Life

130,000 How Ya Doin'?

90,000 Word Up!

However, looking at streaming, time lapsed since individual updates and top 1,500 occurrences this is what my educated estimates for sales would be for the singles which we've not had updates in a while for:

850,000 Black Magic :plat:

***550,000 Wings :gold:

533,500 Secret Love Song :gold:

***500,000 Cannonball :gold:

*455,000 Move :gold:

430,000 Love Me Like You :gold:

287,000 Hair :silver:

***300,000 DNA :silver:

***300,000 Salute :silver:

200,000 Little Me :silver:

***195,000 Change Your Life

***150,000 How Ya Doin'?

***110,000 Word Up!

Salute is by far their highest trickle seller/streamed track from previous eras, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's overtaken DNA by now. I sometimes wonder if it should have been chosen as the lead single from the album, as much as I personally prefer Move.

I don't think there's anything immediately near a certification. The next of those will be Change Your Life (Silver), Hair (Gold) and Secret Love Song (Platinum).

The trickle sales for Salute really are fantastic, and it just shows how big it could have been with extra radio support, as it's plays are really low, for such a popular song. In truth it probably would have made a better lead single, but after Word Up it came in very handy to have that sitting in their back pocket, so no complaints really. SLS should go Plat in the not too distant future, Hair, and Salute Gold, and CYL Silver, and wings platinum eventually, but it'll be interest to see how many of the others can move up, and how long. How Ya Doin for example, would be awesome to see that get a silver cert.

Tbh I'm still floored Little Me made it to Silver before Change Your Life, although it's not one of my favourites, I thought CYL was vastly more popular

That surprised me to the point I almost thought they'd awarded the wrong song!

I've noticed Salute seems to hang around on iTunes and Spotify (albeit very low down) so it wouldn't at all surprise me if its overtaken DNA. I agree that it probably would've made a good lead single, but it's still done very well all things considered
I still think "Salute" would've made a great lead single in the U.S. and Sport Relief single in the UK. One can only imagine an awards show performance...
An awards show performance of Salute would've been incredible
And Nothing Feels Like You would have been a better Comic Relief single that would have been supported more and probably gone at least Silver. I stand by my Jade on that notion.
I will always believe Nothing Feels Like You was a massive missed opportunity. Even if it had been released as a 4th single it would've been out in the summer, which would probably have been perfect timing
While the girls were appearing on RTL Late Night in Holland tonight, they were presented with a Gold plaque for Black Magic. Yet another certification for the immortal song
Ah I guess that is good for a song that hasn't been a hit at all

Get Weird was a number 1 album in Ireland and has had a pretty similar chart run in Ireland as it has in the UK, are those sales correct as they appear very low for an album that has remained steady since release.

You have to remember Ireland is a much smaller country and to get a Platinum award you only need sales of 15,000, so to be top 10 in the album chart I guess you might only need to sell hundreds.

I didnt realise how low album sales were in Ireland. If 15,000 sales makes an album platinum, how many sales make a platinum single in Ireland.
