(Would've voted for Rudimental but I sort of feel like their breakthrough year was 2012, and as for Martin Garrix I feel like 2014 might be HIS breakthrough year. Great bunch all-in-all.)

02. Dan Tyminski on 'Hey Brother'

 

(Sorrz but I'm just so fed up with Get Lucky by now. Can't possibly vote for that. Avicii delivered two solid tunes this year too so it's good.)

 

Female vocal performance of the year

01. Ellie Goulding on 'I Need Your Love'

02. Lana Del Rey on 'Summertime Sadness (Cedric Gervais Remix)'

 

(Great choices all three, so it was hard to pick which song was the best out of the bunch but I gotta give props to Calvin and Ellie, what a great team.)

 

The Paul Bäumer memorial award for Producer of the year

01. Calvin Harris

02. Zedd

 

(I felt like I needed to look past the frame of only producing for themselves. Calvin is like a multitasking machine so he was a no-brainer, but it was between Zedd and Avicii for the 2nd place.)

(Two of the best groups of the year by far.)

(Toughest question yet. All awesome albums, but these two stood out the most for me in 2013.)

(No question about this one. Garrix in 3rd, Daft Punk in 4th and Avicii/Romero in 5th even though all are amazing songs that define my past year!)

I could not stand Wake Me Up for the first few months. It took about 5 or 6 months, but now I absolutely love it. Pretty much the same with his whole album, I think.
