I guess you never listened to the chart show when Reggie was presenting it then, totally unregimented and at times he seemingly forgot it was meant to be a chart show at all. In comparison Jameela has, in my opinion, actually brought back some regimentation and some semblance of an actual chart show. In the Reggie days we'd be given 'facts' that were regularly wrong, and he'd spend a lot of time reading texts like "I'm doing the washing up" and "I'm just eating sprouts" that had no place in a chart show, whereas Jameela just plays the records and concentrates on the chart itself for the most part.

 

 

Yep recent convert as of 2013, only listened once when I hosted a chart thread on Haven, but then I also had BT40 on at the same time which was a challenge.

 

A shame the damage to the chart has already been done.

Mark Goodier stayed too long.

Wes Butters would have been OK if he was free to do a different format.

JK & Joel were OK for the same reason, they did once under their tenure beat Hit 40 UK

Ideally the right person for the job is Scott Mills, he might still get it, when he decides to go part time, but I feel he is coming to the age where he will move on.

Yep He first filled in in 1999, he should have taken the show in early 2000, he would have seen the show till 2005 or 2006

Scott sounds like he actually likes the chart and respects the history behind it the way he counts it down (unless hes distracted by someone else doing it with him lol)!!
