Posted January 1, 201411 yr Really enjoying listening to Simon Fuller discussing his fav top 10 songs. So little is known of him so it's great to get some insight into this powerful Svengali. Easy to see how he and Will get on so well. Personally I loved his choices and look forward to the next 2 programmes giving the Fuller picture scheduled over the next 2 weeks.
January 1, 201411 yr Author Here are Simon's top 10. 10 Alicia Keys Empire State of Mind 9 Abba Dancing Queen 8 The Jam Going Underground 7 The Verve Bitter Sweet Symphony 6 Detroit Spinners Ghetto Boy 5 The Beatles We Can Work It out. 4 Beach Boys God Only Knows 3 Bowie Life on Mars 2 10cc I'm not in Love 1 Chicago If You Leave me now.
January 1, 201411 yr I listened! :cheer: Liked every song. Great to hear Will at the end - he's a good judge of character. Looking forward to hearing what he has to say about SF in next weeks episode. I know Wills away but it's good to hear him crop up.
January 1, 201411 yr Author Thanks TT i missed it. I love his #1 choice. Did Will get mentioned at all ? It's well worth a listen Sunday when it's up on listen again. There was praise for Simon from various artists and associates, Lucien Grange, Simon Lythgoe, David and Victoria Beckham and Annie Lennox and a few more. Will popped with a few words at the end but looks as if he'll feature more in the next few programmes when they are charting Simon's prestigious career. I agree Ros these shows are very welcome in this oasis. Edited January 1, 201411 yr by truly talented
January 1, 201411 yr Well really enjoyed that, what a great top ten choice of songs. all of them a blast from the past Really looking forward to the next part now Love Di xxx
January 1, 201411 yr Author The next two parts of The Fuller Story are aired at the later time of 10pm on the 8th and 15th January.
January 1, 201411 yr Author I thought it was on at 10.00pm  will watch the next two parts. I'm sure it will be up on Listen Again if you want to catch up Avis.
January 3, 201411 yr Looking forward to the next 2 parts :D I totally missed this so I'll catch up on it and the next two, always liked Simon Fuller and the space he's given Will to do what he wants, so unlike the other Simon who bleeds everyone out and then hangs them out to dry.
January 3, 201411 yr Author So true suggy. I'm sure Will has said that Simon Fuller helps those he manages to have the career and level of fame they want. Was interesting to hear Annie Lennox at the start of the programme saying there were two kinds of manager the shark and the grocer and Simon Fuller was neither. Everyone who spoke about him praised him for being crative and innovative. So unlike the othe Simon who has never had an original idea in his life and clones his artists as copies of whoever is popular.
January 3, 201411 yr Really looking forward to the next two parts, enjoyed listening to all of the songs SF selected
January 3, 201411 yr I look forward to hearing the next few programmes...Check on here everyday...Great Site. :yahoo:
January 4, 201411 yr Here are Simon's top 10. 10 Alicia Keys Empire State of Mind 9 Abba Dancing Queen 8 The Jam Going Underground 7 The Verve Bitter Sweet Symphony 6 Detroit Spinners Ghetto Boy 5 The Beatles We Can Work It out. 4 Beach Boys God Only Knows 3 Bowie Life on Mars 2 10cc I'm not in Love 1 Chicago If You Leave me now. Thanks for this, I really enjoyed the programme too and I look forward to Wednesday. I hope Will's contribution is more than they have used to advertise it though, although we know he won't be singing of course. Just hearing his voice gives me goosebumps.
January 4, 201411 yr Author I think Will's contribution will come in the first part as it is titled 19 to Idol. Not sure if the recording with Dave Tench is related to this programme or for something else. We've yet to discover what his visit to Brussels was all about which looked to be work related. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03nhbzy Part 2 is likely to be about the sporing and fashion additions to his company. Editing to say David Tench has answered an enquiry on twitter and confirmed his recording with Will isn't connected with this programme but he can't reveal what it is about. Probably not his place. I'm actually pleased as I'm hoping it's connected to some bigger project. Edited January 4, 201411 yr by truly talented
