Jesus. Dammit GRRM, why'd you have to

kill GoTInigo Montoya

. And in that way, too. It seemed a little too easy at first so the flip wasn't wholly unexpected, but that image is going to HAUNT me.

Both Arya's laugh and Sansa's teary confession were highlights. I'm never counting on them meeting ever again though.

On the pervert's side of things, hey Missandei. Been kinda waiting for that for a while, and honestly it's really quite cute with her and Grey Worm now. I suppose I do have to shed a tear for poor old Jorah as well, cast out far beyond that friendzone.

Thought that was the worst episode of the season bar the final five minutes. Fairly gruesome, but a good fight scene. Rest of the episode was oddly paced and weak though.

Been spoilered about what happens next in Kings Landing through eager beavers!

Another jaw-dropping ending - I must admit I wasn't drawn to Oberyn at all for the series, but that was quite the exit. Impressive. Jorah though  Always loved him and Daenerys together, hope it's not the last we see of him. Arya was also incredible, so, so stone cold, but she pulls it off so well, such an incredible contrast between her and her sister and it's portrayed brilliantly.

I kinda spoiled it for myself so have a slight idea what happens next, should still be epic though, episode 9 always is.

Sansa was stunning in this episode as was Arya. This season has been weak for me but I really enjoyed this episode.

I couldn't watch the ending, this kind of 'exit' makes me sick.

Still needing to actually start watching this (I know, eternally late and all that), but I couldn't help but seriously LOL at that death.

Over-taken The Sopranons now as HBO's most ever watched programme.

Some feet!

I'd love to know how much money HBO make off of the show, must be a bucket load.

Even though an ENTIRE episode was dedicated to the battle, it didn't seem as epic as I thought it would be. :(

Ygritte though :'(

I enjoyed the episode although I think the battle lacked some epicness indeed.

And I feel like this season not much has happened outside the wall, especially since Jeoffrey's death, things have been stuck. Can't believe next week is the end of the season already.

I'm not sure about that episode, I skipped some parts as it was going nowhere. Didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would.

Ygritte :(

Worst episode of the season, but essential really. It was an interesting battle but I can't say I really enjoyed it. The deaths were spectacular as always, though!

I thought the battle was suitably epic! If we don't count the wildfire, I enjoyed it more than Blackwater. Kept me captivated pretty much throughout, but then I've been caring about the minor Night's Watch characters quite a bit (Pyp & Grenn ), and even Ser Alliser redeemed himself for me, yet the one character I was cheering on to die, Slynt, ended up being a dirty snivelling coward. :(

Gasped at that huge big scythe thing.

I LAUGHED at the scythe, absolutely brilliant the one mauled forearm/hand left swinging was a lovely touch.

Overall I thought the episode was very, very good. The battle felt really well paced, tense and suitably BIG for a TV budget. It was never going to match Blackwater, for one King's Landing has a huge network of characters, both primary and secondary, so it had a big advantage to begin with, add to the Wildfire and Cersei's Series best scene at the end and it's a complete whitewash. As it is though this is still among the best episodes of the show for me, it lacked any of the smaller scale character moments (again one of the best things about Blackwater), but visually and in terms of story it was brilliant.

(you know nothing) Jon Snuuu going north of the wall WITHOUT A SWORD is just the kind of moronic action that makes me both dislike the Stark's and also kind of feel like they brought it all on themselves.

That was a quite a bit dumb to say the least. What on earth is he going to do, sneak into Mance's tent unarmed without ANY of the very armed 100,000 wildlings noticing and chopping him up for Thenn meat?

I imagine he will simply BORE him to death. I mean Kit Harrington continues to be wonderful to look at, but Jon Snuuu as a character sucks the life out of every scene.
(you know nothing) Jon Snuuu

Ygritte

I LOVED that episode, it didn't feel boring in the slightest to me and I'm glad they had a whole episode to it, I was hooked from start to finish, I preferred it to the Blackwater episode personally, fantastic.

Can't wait for the last episode when I pretty much know what is happening (but the wait till Season 5 is going to kill me!)

It was a great battle and was very well produced, however, I didn't like how the whole episode was dedicated to it as I'm not really a fan of the male Stark storylines.

Ha!

I thought it was a fantastic episode. The Wall's one of my favourite locations so that always helps. I think to show the real tension/struggle on the wall the whole episode had to be dedicated it. They were outnumbered and only just won the first wave. Some of the effects were mesmerising. My personal favourite being the pan show around the wall with all the fighting. The only thing I would say is the episode probably lacked main characters to root for, there's only Sam/Jon and a few other minor characters with little screen time. I'd forgotten that Ameon was a Targareyan, and I couldn't even tell you the names of the other two that Wall stalwarts that had positions of power!
