Posted January 11, 201411 yr do you collect records? 7", 12", CDS, CDM (no thank you we are not dance) or perhaps gatefold 12" albums for the most disposabley incomed amongst us. i used to collect limited 7" for buzz singles back in the day, though they are awfully hard to get ahold of these days :(
January 12, 201411 yr Yes. I started a few years ago - maybe 5 or 6 years ago. My collection is based around 12"s, 80's synth pop (PSB, Erasure) and indie albums (The Smith, The Cure) , 90s rave and trance and 90's indie or alternative albums (Suede, REM), 80s acid house (BomB the Bass, A Guy Called Gerald, Lil Louis). I have quite a few New Order 12" - I'd say 10 or 11 at this stage, also have Technique, Lowlife. There's four of us who meet up a few times a year to play what we've found in various record shops. There are very few record left in Dublin now. I check second hand and charity shops too. When I go travel to other cities I check out their charity shops. I rarely buy vinyl off the next because it doesn't have the same buzz as searching through stands in a charity shop and finding something rare.
January 13, 201411 yr Just got a record player for xmas - have been collecting bits and pieces for yrs though. Have a white label version of Wiley - Wearing my Rolex & a buzz release of Ting Tings first single!
