Posted January 24, 201411 yr And so we begin the countdown. You've all nominated and rated and now it' time to reveal the results. Starting as always with the lowest scores first. Pos - Artist-Title-Points-Average Score 283 - Enter Shikari -- When A Jealous Man Finds A Gun - 12pts - 3 282 - Bring Me The Horizon -- Shadow Moses - 28 - 4 281 - Spineshank -- New Disease - 17 - 4.25 280 - Enter Shikari -- Sorry, You're Not A Winner - 30 - 4.285 279 - Marilyn Manson -- Heart Shaped Glasses - 26 - 4.333 278 - Slayer -- Raining Blood - 27 - 4.5 277 - Hoobastank -- Crawling In The Dark - 19 - 4.75 276 - Deftones -- Back To School (Mini Maggit) - 24 - 4.8 275 - A Perfect Circle - Judith - 29 - 4.833 274 - Puddle Of Mudd -- Psycho - 20 - 5 273 - Skunk Anansie -- Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good) - 25 - 5 272 - Daughtry -- It's Not Over - 35 - 5 271 - Puddle Of Mudd -- She Hates Me - 26 - 5.2 The first batch tells us a couple of things. Enter Shikari may be liked enough by at least one person to get nominations but that love is clearly not shared by the majority. The same is also true for Puddle Of Mudd with both bands having 2 tracks in the bottom pile. Bring Me The Horizon's Shadow Moses was the unlucky recipient of a big old -15 rom Chez Wombat when it might have been expected to perform much better otherwise. As did Slayer's Thrash Metal classic Raining Blood, although it did pick up a top mark as well. Whilst it's probably the only track in the list with any kind of reputation amongst Rock fans it's clearly not popular here. My top picks (just because I can) Wnn47V09Q2M xTgKRCXybSM LLs-JP5FGAg
January 24, 201411 yr I didn't vote for it but Raining Blood clearly doesn't deserve to be down there. And I still bloody love Shadow Moses.
January 24, 201411 yr Aww I love Sorry You're Not A Winner even though it terrified me when I first heard it haha. The average score is going up very fast though so I suspect big casualties regularly.
January 27, 201411 yr Author Pos - Artist-Title-Points-Average Score 260 - Mars Volta -- Inertiatic ESP - 28 - 5.6 261 - Breaking Benjamin -- Breath - 28 - 5.6 262 - Limp Bizkit -- Eat You Alive - 28 - 5.6 263 - Deftones -- My Own Summer - 28 - 5.6 264 - Fuel -- Haemorhage In My Hands - 22 - 5.5 265 - P.O.D. -- Youth Of The Nation - 33 - 5.5 266 - Alestorm -- Captain Morgan's Revenge - 22 - 5.5 267 - Slipknot -- Left Behind - 27 - 5.4 268 - Staind -- So Far Away - 27 - 5.4 269 - TV On The Radio -- Dancing Choose - 27 - 5.4 270 - Thirteen Senses -- Thru' the Glass - 21- 5.35 Another 10 for you now and nothing really surprising here to my mind with no genuine classics falling away. Equal scores are seperated by highest scores and despite 2 10 point rates Slipknot falter with a zero score from Chez Wombat again. Lots of Nu Metal and Post Grunge in this section and TV On The Radio stand out as a distinctly Indie sounding track. My picks yw5EKsDkK7I XOzs1FehYOA
January 27, 201411 yr Poor Alestorm. :( It really is just a lot of fun, as all self-respecting PIRATE METAL should be. *.*
January 27, 201411 yr Massive apologies for not getting around to posting my scores! I was about two thirds of the way through and then completely forgot. :drama: Some fab songs dropping out already though! 'Youth Of The Nation' was such an anthem!
January 27, 201411 yr My scores not that popular so far then  I can't stand Slipknot and that Bring Me The Horizon song lost out because it was playing on Radio 1 when my radio alarm clock went off VERY EARLY. 'Twas not the most pleasant awakening.
January 27, 201411 yr Left Behind is brilliant but I have a feeling the next few groups of ten are going to be bunches of songs that we can't believe we rated higher than Raining Blood.
January 30, 201411 yr Author Pos - Artist-Title-Points-Average Score 240 - AC/DC -- Highway To Hell - 54 - 6 241 - Lenny Kravitz -- Fly - 48 - 6 242 - Alterbridge -- Open Your Eyes - 24 - 6 243 - Heart - Crazy on You - 42 - 6 244 - Marilyn Manson -- Tourniquet - 30 - 6 245 - Placebo -- The Bitter End - 42 - 6 246 - Alterbridge -- Broken Wings - 24 - 6 247 - P.O.D -- Alive - 36 - 6 248 - Papa Roach -- Between Angels And Insects - 24 -6 249 - Rammstein -- Speluhr - 24 - 6 250 - 3 Doors Down -- Kryptonite - 47 - 5.875 251 - Metallica -- St Anger - 41 - 5.857 252 - Focus -- Hocus Pocus - 29 - 5.8 253 - Seether -- Broken - 29 - 5.8 254 - Deftones -- Change (In The House Of Flies) - 29 - 5.8 255 - The Offspring -- Pay The Man - 29 - 5.8 256 - Slipknot -- (Sic) 23 - 5.75 257 - AC/DC -- TNT- 51 - 5.667 258 - Bon Jovi -- Always - 51 - 5.667 259 - Puddle Of Mudd -- Blurry - 51 - 5.667 The next batch sees something of a theme developing here as Deftones, Slipknot, Alterbridge and Puddle Of Mudd all feature again or on multiple occasions. As do AC/DC in what could raise an eyebrow or two with their recognised classic and recent biggest hit Highway To Hell. In all of Rock their can't be many more bands as highly regarded and it is probably their definitave song. It's lowly position largely down to Eyes utter dislike of the track with a big -15. Without Eyes vote down it would have been in much higher position. They will feature again however. Among other acs to make a first appearance but which will feature again include Bon Jovi, The Offspring, Rammstein, Papa Roach, Lenny Kravitz and Metallica whose largely derided St Anger album has its title track appear. Lastly. and somewhat surprisingly Seether's Broken comes fairly low despite the presence of Ms Amy Lee on the track. A feature which I wrongly thought would put it much higher given her bands popularity among some members here. My pick of the bunch is really only Highway To Hell but have some others too - l482T0yNkeo kC7RBoA1nbQ aAgvTsVcQgQ hPC2Fp7IT7o
February 1, 201411 yr (sic) is amazing and still probably my favourite Slipknot song, disappointing to see it so low.
February 2, 201411 yr Shame to see these so low. :( All amazing classics! 240 - AC/DC -- Highway To Hell - 54 - 6 241 - Lenny Kravitz -- Fly - 48 - 6 242 - Alterbridge -- Open Your Eyes - 24 - 6 247 - P.O.D -- Alive - 36 - 6 248 - Papa Roach -- Between Angels And Insects - 24 -6 251 - Metallica -- St Anger - 41 - 5.857 252 - Focus -- Hocus Pocus - 29 - 5.8 258 - Bon Jovi -- Always - 51 - 5.667 259 - Puddle Of Mudd -- Blurry - 51 - 5.667[/b]

A return again for The Offspring and it won't be the last we see of them bu it will be for Slipknot who appear here with the most mellow of all their entries. Perhaps that says something about them and the site. Also Corey Taylor's other band Stone Sour feature too so I can only assume that the man's work just isn't that popular here despite a few lovers. Notable others include Rage Against The Machine who certainly won't be getting a surprise number one on this chart. Buckcherry and Korn also make first appearances but will both feature again as will 30 Seconds To Mars, Evanescence and Nirvana. All of whom have a fair number of songs in the countdown to come. Queen too, limp in with what for me is a surprising choice from their extensive catalogue of perennial favourites. Aside from the obvious track there are plenty I would've expected to out perform The Show Must Go On but somehow never got nominated. My picks Sq2ZTg5-9KI 3rS6mZUo3fg bWXazVhlyxQ AkFqg5wAuFk
February 5, 201411 yr Bigger Than Punk Rock  Deserved better, although it's very far from a conventional rock song so I didn't think it'd do too well. Beautiful Lie is also quite brilliant.

Site favourites Nightwish and Within Temptation also appear and big names like Red Hot Chili Peppers, System Of A Down, Linkin Park, White Stripes and Nine Inch Nails make their entrance too. All will feature later. Wolfmother, Buckcherry and Placebo end their participation in the list. Soundgarden and L7 fly the flag for 90s Grunge with two minor classics. After this we enter the top 200 and we can expect more and more big names to feature. My picks from a quality group :- 3mbBbFH9fAg PKLETNBTGx8 _aYivBntOC4 jsmcDLDw9iw
February 9, 201411 yr Perhaps Evanescence's popularity on Buzzjack was overestimated? Some brilliant tracks in that section but on second glance I suppose none are glaring omissions from the top 200. 'Otherside' was my introduction to RHCP so it's a personal fave ^_^
February 10, 201411 yr Author Perhaps Evanescence's popularity on Buzzjack was overestimated? Yeah perhaps. There's always been 2 tracks that seem very popular and I just figured the rest would be too. I don't disagree with the placings at all but I was a little surprised.

Led Zeppelin being the most obvious. Not their most famous track (more later) but a highlight of their classic debut. AC/DC return with a popular later track and Parmore, Marilyn Manson and Metallica pop up (the latter with my wedding song). Other notable bands to show up are Pearl Jam, Hole, Heart (before they went hair metal), Rammstein, 30 Seconds To Mars and Nightwish. Punk legends Dead Kennedys sneak in just, and a surprisingly high position for 60s Garage and Proto-Punk legends the MC5 who you may recognise from a KLF sampled snippet. Both surprisingly low down. Sum 41 have both their nominated songs score similarly and Foo Fighters who also have 2 make their debut. Evanescence return once more proving that they are consistent if nothing else. BFMV, Twisted Sister, Def Leppard, Twin Atlantic, Deep Purple, Pat Benatar, Velvet Revolver, Amaranthe and Kasabian all begin and end their involvement here. February 15, 201411 yr Pos - Artist-Title-Points-Average Score - Most notably one of the defining names in Rock, Iron Maiden, make their debut and only appearance in the countdown with a recognised classic. Oops! Possibly my anti-Iron Maiden comments here and there over the last year. Or maybe younger music fans hold the same view as me ("Heard one Iron maiden record, heard them all") Bruce is a hero though...piloting swordfencing man of many talents...
