Pos - Artist-Title-Points-Average Score

041 - Manic Street Preachers -- Motorcycle Emptiness - 64 - 9.142

042 - Foo Fighters -- Monkey Wrench - 64 - 9.142

043 - Muse -- Starlight - 73 - 9.125

044 - Guns N Roses -- Sweet Child Of Mine - 82 - 9.111

045 - Metallica -- Enter Sandman - 82 - 9.111

046 - Queen -- Who Wants To Live Forever? - 54 - 9

047 - Halestorm -- I Miss The Misery - 45 - 9

048 - Survivor -- Eye Of The Tiger - 81 -9

049 - Foo Fighters -- The Pretender - 63 - 9

050 - The Jam -- Going Underground - 71 - 8.875

Finally I have some time to continue this so sorry for the delay. Things getting really tough at this end of the table now with big names like Foo Fighters, Muse, Queen, The Jam and Manic Street Preachers seeing potential big hitters fall by the wayside. Guns N Roses, Metallica, Halestorm and Survivor hit their peaks but all the others have tracks yet to come.

Andrew WK - Party Hard

Points - 64

Average Score - 9.142

Biggest fan - Chez Wombat (15)

Narrowly making the top 40 is Andrew WK. Something of a 'one hit wonder' with this track, Andrew burst onto the Rock scene in 2001 with this adrenalin fuelled piece of dumb nonsense. That being said it remains something of a floor filler in the clubs and has a certain naive charm to it.

The Jam - Town Called Malice

Points - 74

Average Score - 9.25

Biggest fan - Dircadirca (15)

Punk/New Wave legends The Jam are up next with this chart topper from 1982. Although never truly a Punk act they were lumped in with the genre and they were hugely succesful too, also spearheading a brief Mod revival in the early 80s. Paul Weller has since gone on to front The Style Council and have an enduring solo career, becoming something of a national treasure along the way

Muse - Time Is Running Out

Points - 74

Average Score - 9.25

Biggest fan - Eyes (15)

West country Rock act Muse have featured heavily so far and will continue to do so with another four more tracks to come. However there all coming thick and fast now so do they have the popularity to make the upper reaches? Time will tell. Time Is Running Out was featured on their album Absolution (my favourite of theirs). This was the point in their career where they truly cast of the Radiohead comparisons which had somewhat unfairly dogged them early on.

Queens Of The Stone Age - No One Knows

Points - 65

Average Score - 9.285

Biggest fan - Dircadirca (15)

Queens Of The Stone Age reach their peak with this 2002 hit which is arguably their signature tune nowadays. Eagle eyed viewers may spot a certain Dave Grohl on the drums, marking yet another appearance for 'the nicest man in Rock' to go alongside his turns in Foo Fighters and of course Nirvana. No surprises to say he'll feature again - but who with and how high?

Kings Of Leon - On Call

Points - 56

Average Score - 9.333

Biggest fan - Discontento (15)

From Queens to Kings now. Kings Of Leon first found success this side of the pond before going on to make it big in the States too. This is ceratainly not among their most well known tracks but is if anything better than anything they've done in years. Edgier and more leftfield than subsequent works this is taken from 2007 album Because Of The Times - the album that really broke through for them.

So many great tracks on here I need to download at some point. :) Looking forward to see which Muse song will be the highest and what will be number 1!

The Gaslight Anthem - 45

Points - 56

Average Score - 9.333

New Jersey's Springsteen loving Gaslight Anthem come next with this the first single from their album Handwritten. Fans of the band should also check out sideproject The Horrible Crows which is pretty much more of the same under a different name.

Bon Jovi - Living On A Prayer

Points - 84

Average Score - 9.333

Biggest fan - RiseR (15)

Mre New Jersey Springsteen lovers here with Bon Jovi. Taken from the album Slippery When Wet, this was the track that launched Jon and the gang to mega stardom. Something of a hair metal classic that still gets a regular outing at Rock club nights.

Bruce Springsteen - Born To Run

Points - 84

Average Score - 9.333

Biggest fan - Chartpop Freak (15)

From the students to the master now as The Boss himself makes his highest peak with what is undoubtedly his most famous song. An all time classic it's fair to say. There's no video for the studio version and since Bruce is unrivalled on stage you can have this live version to savour. How the original never charted is beynd me.

Foo Fighters - All My Life

Points - 75

Average Score - 9.375

Biggest fan - Gavin Deejay (15)

Foo Fighters now reach their peak too - although Dave will still return. From the album One by One, this is probably my favourite Foo track as it has a bit more balls to it than much of their other work.

The Undertones - Teenage Kicks

Points - 75

Average Score - 9.375

Biggest fan - Chartpop Freak(15)

Famously John Peel's favourite song of all time and it's easy to see why. Simple, fun and with a sense of teenage longing that everyone can relate to. Whilst they released many more great singles they never quite reached the heights of this their debut single. When John Peel first played it on his show he loved it some much he dropped the needle right back at the start and played it all over again. I don't think he ever did that for any other song.

Thanks for continuing on with this. Looking forward to seeing what's Number 1. Shame to see the Foo Fighters highest track is at #32, but at least their highest song is one of their best. :D

PARAMORE - MISERY BUSINESS

Points - 75

Average Score - 9.375

CHARLIE (15)

OK, first of all sorry it has been so long and thank you to anyone who still has time for this. I'm gonna bung some more up while i can.

Now, on to the results. Paramore narrowly squeeze into the top 30 by virtue of having more 9 than The Undertones. This is their highest placing in the chart and I think it's fair to say this is one of their more popular and well known tracks.

MANIC STREET PREACHERS - A DESIGN FOR LIFE

Points - 66

Average Score - 9.428

Chez Wombat (15)

Arguably the Manics most famous song despite it not being one of their 2 UK #1 singles. It stalled at #2 thanks to Mark Morrison's Return Of The Mack. A travesty? I'll let you decide.

With themes of social and working/upper class division it was largely misinterpreted on its release due mostly to its huge chorus and lines about getting drunk. It remains their set closer at live shows.

THE CULT - SHE SELLS SANCTUARY

Points - 66

Average Score - 9.428

Chartpopfreak (15)

Taken from their 1985 goth (with a little g) tinged album Love, She Sells Sanctuary is The Cult's most instantly recognisable track nd their only entry in the countdown. After this album the band went into full on Rock mode before singer Ian Astbury ended up fronting versions of '60s legends The Doors and The MC5.

JET - ARE YOU GONNA BE MY GIRL?

Points - 66

Average Score - 9.428

RiseR (15)

Starting off in some debt to The Supremes You Can't Hurry Hurry Love or The Jam's A Town Called Malice before morphing in a riff on Iggy Pop's Lust For Life, Are You Gonna Be My Girl? is Aussie band Jet's signature tune. In fact they swiftly disappeared from view not long after this. It does however remain a blissfully fun piece of old school Rock N Roll.

LINKIN PARK - WHAT I'VE DONE

Points - 66

Average Score - 9.428

Charlie, Eyes(15)

Linkin Park again next and this is their 3rd highest placed track. With 2 more to go could they be contenders to win. The band remain popular on Buzzjack among the right people and are one of the bands with the most entries in the countdown. From the album Minutes To Midnight, it's probably one of their more melodic huts and still figures among my favourites of their's

Not remembering what songs are left only adds to the surprise! :D
