Well its about time! lol. the bbc said this album was a "a pleasant cocktail of pop sophistication, club culture and accessibility" and I completly agree. She has one foot in pop and the other in dance and it works very well. I really like the flow of ths album. She captures a sexy darkness in dance music which is hard to achieve with tracks like "put the needle on it". The album has a 80's flavour without sounding dated and I think the reason the singles did well is because they had allot of appeal. Especially tracks like "who do you love now" as it had mainstreme appeal and attracted more people than just gay men. Unlike her latest offerings.

It should have been more succesfull than what it was. But isn't that usually the case when discussing disco minogue? She should have done a follow up album in the same style. She found her niche in music. club kid minogue

Im amazed you didnt mention it was better than body language and deserved to do better lol (even though it should have lol). I really do love this album. I was suprised I would even like a dannii album the way i do love this album. Every Kylie fan should have to this album just so they can understand that she is an artist that can stand on her own and has the music to prove this.
Well...I was going to say that but I've said it a billion times already. teehee. Its album's like this that show she does not get the credit she deserves. I wish she would go back to this style. to these producers. To this look even! You see her now with the past few singles and she is a shadow of her former self. Plus, isn't "Neon Nights" such a brilliant name for an album!?

To be honest i cant pick a flaw in this whole phase. The image, style, music, videos everything worked so well and even when everything was working it still didnt get her huge success which is sooooooooo annoying.

True, but if she kept at it with the Neon Nights style that would have gotten more attention. Kind of like Kylie's "light years" onto her "fever". I don't meen to compare but I thought it was an easy comparession.

Neon Nights broke the ice. a follow up have gotten much more attention. Yes critically she would have been slated by the critics for making a "Neon Nights part 2" sort of album. But she needed to do that! She found something that worked. She could not afford to change it. She is a fool for leaving London. Plus some of the singles of the album enjoyed international success in Europe. France & Germany really liked the singles

Agree with you again. She spent her whole career looking for her niche in the music industry and then when she finally finds it she basiclly throws it away. If she only kept it and progressed it throughout the second London album. Things could be so so different.
I like it. It's a fun album with some fun tracks. Great when ur doing housework
