great first episode. great start to the series. no one yet stands out as being someone who i like, though i think for being voted off, tom and james. i don't like them 1 little bit- they were so right to get the yellow card today. very dis respectful in the morning. i quote from the programme, " their's a time and a place for a joke". i agree entirely... a graveyard is not 1 of those places

great to see brendan back on my screen after so long.

if you want me to shut up, just say. though i am very in to my coach trip

coach trip episode 2:

james and tom were still angry about getting a yellow card last night, and sat alone at breakfast

the morning's activity was going to a chocolate factory to taste, and then make chocolate. i found it funny 1 of the comments made

oh, this chocolate is inspired by a cat litterbox. hahaa

anyway, kevin and steve won that activity

over lunch, another funny comment was made over the muscles- oh, they look like snot!. (again, made me laugh)

then in the afternoon, the group went diving and mark and kelly kissed underwater which was romantic

at the vote, all the couples got voted with the acception of darren and who ever his partner is (lol) but it was mark and kelly who ended up getting a yellow card

still get the feeling that it's going to be tom and james or kevin and steve off the coach first. starting to like mark

Best program on the channel by miles.

The other 2 series (Love Boat & Mystery Tour) with Brendan we absolute garbage.

day 3:

in the morning, the group's first activity was to make pottery bird whistles. kevin and steve won again

in the afternoon, the group went on the segway, and split in to 2 tteams. team oosh, and the nutcases

since they won in the morning, kevin and steve were team captains. mark and kelly were also picked last for any of the teams

the nutcases won the segway challenge

at the vote, it was a 3 way tie between tom and james, mark and kelly, or glen and wendy.

it was glen and wendy who got the yellow card (much to my dismay). i want to see kevin and steve off the coach

That Mark needs a good slap! I hope they go tomorrow.

day 4 and still no one voted off

today, the coach rolled in to france. in the morning while traveling to their first activity, they were playing a game in which they had to go round saying words that are associated with the previous word

the morning's activity was human football, and in the afternoon they went zip lineing (something wendy really wanted to do)

at the vote, it was kevin and steve who got the yellow card

since i did actually miss tonight's episode, can anyone tell me what happened?. or if not, is their another chance at all to watch it

wondering if i should feel surprised or not about this thread not being updated. hmm

Following Kevin and Steve's departure on the

fifth day

of 'Coach Trip', the mood amongst passengers seemed to be much lighter. The group were joking about their potential future travelling companions while

also discussing their anxieties about meeting the newest couple, however, Sandra and Silvana were eager about the prospect of them injecting a little more

excitement into the group.

Any worries about the new passengers seemed to disperse, however, as young friends Nick and Ben approached the coach. Their self-depreciating humour was

an immediate hit and Glen and Wendy seemed particularly impressed, warning the boys that they are "cougars". Talking privately Nick joked to Ben "if it

can get us an extra week on the coach, you might have to take one for the team" - something tells me that if they keep up the comedy, they might stick

around for a while.

There was little time for the new pair to settle in as they headed on to the first activity of the day - sausage making. As usual, the group didn't take

the task all too seriously and they were soon messing about. Annabelle dangerously started blowing up her gloves and put them over her head and James and

Tom wound Brendan up during the demonstration, causing the tour guide to hit them with his ingredients.

The practical joke that started with the international tour guide ended a little more seriously, however, as Mark tried the same trick with Wendy, who lashed

out and hit him back and Brendan had to step in. Wendy was gradually louder throughout the day and it clearly didn't sit well with her fellow passengers.

The second activity took place in Lyon, where the travellers visited Interpol to take part in a self-defence session. It was immediately clear that the

international police weren't going to let the group off lightly as they pushed Brendan to the ground, leaving him with a "searing pain" in his kidneys.

Rather than overseeing proceedings he relaxed with Glen, who also had to miss out due to a previous ankle injury, but the officers in charge had no qualms

in taking the lead and calming down the unruly tourists.

Considering their behaviour at previous tasks, it's unsurprising that the police officers leading the demonstration had to give the group a stern talking

to, explaining that the task was "not a game". You can understand why they were getting frustrated as it was truly a free-for-all, with the passengers

trying some of their own moves - something tells me that Mark and Kelly's kung fu kicks weren't a part of the demonstration!

The tourist who made the biggest transition during the activity was Annabelle who proved that, even though she's a small girl, you wouldn't want to mess

with her as she tackled the police officer and was described as a "depraved beast" by Tom.

The evening's vote ended with another shock as Glen and Wendy were sent home, with many passengers citing Wendy's earlier incident with Mark as the reason

why. The pair again claimed that it was just their humour - that's the thing with 'Coach Trip', being loud and over-the-top can easily land you in trouble

if it is perceived to be attention seeking. Here's hoping that Nick and Ben's jokes will be well received by the group, or they could be sent packing sooner

than they would like!

After

yesterday's accident

that left Brendan with a bad pain in his ribs, it was down to driver Paul to shimmy the tour's tired passengers onto the coach at the dawn of day seven.

The group shared their concerns that Brendan, who prides himself on his punctuality, wasn't there to see them and they began to speculate that he was in

more pain than he let on. The international tour guide eventually showed up to tell the group that he was handing over his tour guide duties to Annabelle

for the day - a strange choice as she's probably the contestant least likely to be able to read a map, but a comedic one nonetheless.

She quickly adapted to the role, taking Brendan's name badge and covering the "n" on it to become "Brenda". Was an international tour guide born? No…

Whilst most of the travellers humoured her comedic efforts Mark wasn't as kind, mocking her ability by putting on a baby voice and noting "she's managing

to hold the book with two hands". His attitude wasn't appreciated by most of the other contestants and there was a clear age division amongst the group.

For what it's worth, putting Annabelle in charge did result in an awkward lunchtime exchange where she accidentally spent 48 euros on 15 cakes - when she

checked in with Brendan he certainly wasn't impressed and couldn't believe that she didn't realise that she was spending so much.

He noted that they don't have the biggest budget for the tour and it certainly became apparent as they rolled up to their first activity - milking cows.

It was an excuse for the group to be amongst some beautiful mountain scenery but I certainly wouldn't be impressed to hear that milking cows would be a

part of the day's activities if I was on the show. Emily was extremely unimpressed calling it "disgusting" and things went from bad to worse for her as

the animals kept trying to kick her.

Attitudes changed, however, as Annabelle - sorry, "Brenda" - announced that the next activity would be paragliding. I think it's fair to say that Brendan

shouldn't worry about his job as the group were actually heading on to fly some microlites.

So far the tasks of the series have been pretty disappointing but this was certainly one that made my eyes widen. It looked absolutely stunning as the group

took to the air in the microlites and it was certainly a hit with the tourists. I think Ben said what all viewers were thinking - "it most certainly beat

milking cows".

At the activity it was clear that Mark and Kelly's attitude for the day was "with Brendan away, Mark and Kelly will play" as they spent most of their time

staring at James and Tom in an attempt to make them paranoid. Tom wasn't impressed at all, telling that camera that Mark "doesn't understand that this

is a holiday, not a psychoanalytical documentary".

James and Tom called him "nasty" and commented that the pair were "showing their true colours". Obviously it's hard to tell when you only see half an hour's

worth of footage each day but it seemed to me that the duo wanted to go, especially as they said that they intended to wind things up with Brendan away

- surely they knew it would only end one way, with a red card?

Unsurprisingly they were sent home after a whitewash at vote time but something tells me they weren't all that bothered, especially if they truly did feel

an age divide on the coach.

I sent a tweet slating Mark & Kelly and Mark's replied
SO glad Mark & Kelly are gone, Mark was just vile.

After

yesterday's

not-so-shocking departure of Mark and Kelly, there was a much lighter mood on the coach on day eight, which was brightened even more by the return of tour

guide Brendan Sheerin.

Despite leaving a little earlier than planned due to an unexpected fire alarm, the group were soon setting off on their 128 mile trip to Turin. The passengers

handed over some homemade 'get well soon' cards to the tour guide and, in true 'Coach Trip' style, the group gave a tuneless rendition of the country's

national anthem as they crossed the border into Italy.

Brendan excitedly announced to the tourists that they would be spending the morning playing the popular Italian sport hitball. There was some confusion

about what it was and things weren't looking positive as they rolled up to an extremely run down stadium, which Tom described as "slightly derelict".

Brendan encouraged the group to "hope for the best" and they did make the most of their morning by playing very competitively. Even Cornish couple Darren

and James embraced the activity after saying "we don't know what sport it is. It's just the back of the newspapers, isn't it?"

After a break for lunch the tourists headed to the second location of the day - a world famous Egyptian museum. I don't understand why they would go to

an Egyptian museum in Italy, but Brendan was optimistic that they could all learn a thing or two.

There, the latest couple were introduced. Carol and Bill, friends from West Yorkshire, joined and immediately made an impression. Bill announced that he

was a comedian while Carol said that she was retired and loving it. Despite both having partners, they decided to apply together as their loved ones didn't

want to take part in the show.

The group had a little look around the museum and conspiracy theorist James began to claim that aliens helped to build the pyramids - he even started looking

for any sign of the creatures in the ancient hieroglyphics. At the same time Brendan was trying to convince Annabelle that mummified bodies were corpses,

but she wasn't having any of it.

Brendan then set the contestants a comical challenge - use one toilet roll to mummify each other. The international tour guide extraordinaire used the opportunity

to use his power, and to throw out one of his catchphrases, disqualifying both Nick and Ben and James and Darren for using extra rolls. He declared Sandra

and Silvana to be the winners and awarded them with a bookmark, not the best prize I'm sure you'd agree.

When it came to vote time Sandra and Silvana were given their first yellow card, but they were quite accepting of the majority of their nominations as their

friends noticed that they were quieter during the day and clearly missing their family. However, Sandra didn't take as kindly to Bill and Carol's comments

that they didn't seem to want to be there as she noted it's hard to come to that judgement after only an hour.

The tourists then headed on to their hotel for the night and Bill and Carol claimed that they were already tired after only a few hours. As the episode

ended, Carol took a turn for the worse and was picked up by an ambulance - here's hoping she'll be alright when the show continues tomorrow.

After Carol's bout of illness at the end of yesterday's 'Coach Trip', the rest of the passengers spent the morning speculating about whether she and Bill

would be returning to travel further into Italy.

After a chat with Bill, Brendan delivered the bad news that he and Carol were advised to go home after she was checked over at the hospital. Hopefully she

recovered well, and it's a shame that the pair only got to spend 6 ½ hours on the trip.

The departure of the newest pair worried the rest of the travellers as it meant that, at the end of the day, they would have to vote for friends and to

turn on the allies that they had made so far. The group had little time to ponder their choices, however, as the coach was pulled over by police while

en route to Genoa.

What started as a joke - Ben teased that Brendan was excited to be pulled over by the boys in blue - turned very serious as driver Paul announced that the

police wanted them to pay 2000 euros in cash. Fortunately, they were let away with a warning as Annabelle worried that she only had four euros on her!

The tourists headed on to their first activity which offered a prize a little more exciting than

yesterday's bookmark

- the passengers were asked to make their own pesto sauce (after a cookery lesson thankfully, although that didn't help a few of the contestants!) and

the winner got an invite to the Pesto World Championships, where they would put their recipe in as a contender.

There were varying degrees of success, and lots of competitiveness, when the tourists found out they were in with a chance of returning to Italy, but it

was Tom who ended up taking the prize.

While on the way to the next activity there was an extremely frosty tension between Sandra and Ben, as Sandra accused Ben of playing mind games with her

as he kept kicking her under the table.

Obviously you can't tell what happened without being there, but the argument did seem quite unprovoked to me. I think it may have been a case of Sandra

being extremely tired and reading into things further than she should. The confrontation seemed to make the other passengers feel uncomfortable and it

probably wasn't the best idea after she was given a yellow card yesterday.

Fortunately, the second activity eased tensions slightly as the group went on to hold their own 'Coach Trip go-karting championships'. The tourists all

wanted to win and there was a lot of competition between the boys - Nick and Tom nearly knocked each other off of the course, James just wanted to beat

Tom after his best friend won the earlier challenge, and Darren and James ended up having a bit of a lovers tiff…

However, it was Emily who provided the most laughs. Bless her, she was extremely cautious going around the course and all of the other travellers had no

qualms about laughing at her. James eventually won and was chuffed that he and Tom came first in both events of the day.

Unsurprisingly, after the earlier argument, Sandra and Silvana were awarded a red card at vote time. They obviously made a good impression as everyone was

incredibly sad to see them go and it was sweet that Sandra said the highlight of her trip was getting to know Silvana, her son's girlfriend, better. You

would never know that they weren't close when they joined and it's lovely that they got to know each other in such a unique, and memorable, way.

today's eppisode started off very quietly, as their were only 4 couples on the coach. they wanted more life to join them

it didn't take long, however for the first new couple, margery and mandy, to join

mandy admitted that she liked food fights, which wasn't a good idea, seeing as the first activity of the day was pizza making

sure enough, mandy started throwing her ingredients- and brendan was totally not impressed by it!. he shared his thoughts that she wouldn't last long if things like that carried on.

in the afternoon, a second couple, roy and julia were introduced. the activity was a tour of a museum. roy admitted that he only had 1 goal- by the time he left the coach, julia wouldn't be mad at him!

vote time was difficult, seeing as only 4 couples could be picked.

it ended up a 2 way tie between nick and ben, and darren and james- with darren and james getting the yellow card

as the coach drove on, brendan had an anouncement- the passengers would be spending the night on a ferry. mandy was really not impressed by that, at all
