February 14, 201411 yr Author It's often difficult to remember that Will's debut single was a double A side. There are so few performances of Anything is Possible and wasn't even included on The Hits. It does however make an appearance on the Sony released Essential. We have more recently learned that Will wasn't at all enamoured with the song. At the time I actually preferred it to Evergreen but still think it was once again chosen with Gareth in mind as the winner. At least we can understand why they went all the way to Cuba to shoot the video. Evergreen could have been shot anywhere. Tz_pZ_feXM0 What are others' opinions on this largely forgotten track?
February 15, 201411 yr I preferred AIP to Evergreen too, definitely liked the video better. I used to be glued to the video channels switching back and forth to find it, and was disappointed if Evergreen came on as it meant I had to switch over again hoping they'd play AIP! :D
February 15, 201411 yr Author I remember the controversy over Will's management wanting him to perform both tracks on TOTP. Didn't it end up him performing Evergreen and them showing the AIP video.
February 15, 201411 yr I remember the controversy over Will's management wanting him to perform both tracks on TOTP. Didn't it end up him performing Evergreen and them showing the AIP video. Yes that was all a bit strange. I can remember them playing some of the AIP video when he finally went on TOTP but I can't remember him singing both, though this item from his official site suggests otherwise: CALLING ALL WILL YOUNG LONDON FANS!!! 14 Mar 2002 We've just had it confirmed that Will Young will be recording performances of both 'Evergreen' and 'Anything is Possible' for TOTP this afternoon at 2pm (14th March) to be shown on tomorrow's show on BBC1 at 7.30pm. We would like Will fans to be in the audience and so if you are available to get to TOTP at BBC TV Centre, Wood Lane (nearest tube White City) for 2pm TODAY and are aged between 18 - 30 then you need to call Becky on <> and get your name put on the guest list. Please note you must call Becky by 1.15pm. We apologise for the incredibly short notice.
February 15, 201411 yr Author Thanks for that Ros. Like you I can't remember Will performing both.
February 17, 201411 yr y7fonsB3z-s They played a bit of AIP then he came on to speak to Sarah somebody and goes on stage to sing AIP but then it ends. At least I've solved the query.

April 8, 201411 yr Wasn't Will also the first to get to #1, but didn't appear/not allowed to, on TOTP in the 1st week he got to #1 as was usual in those days.
April 8, 201411 yr Author Wasn't Will also the first to get to #1, but didn't appear/not allowed to, on TOTP in the 1st week he got to #1 as was usual in those days. There was some dispute because Will's management wanted him to perform both tracks.
