From ESC Xtra:

According to OGAE Greece, the country’s national selection ‘Eurosong 2014 – A MAD Show’ will be held on Tuesday 11 March.

The four artists competing were recently announced as follows:

Kostas Martakis

Freaky Fortune featuring Risky Kid

Krystallia

Mark Angelo featuring Josephine

The songs and accompanying videos are expected to premiere early next week.

Eurosong 2014 will take place once again in Gazi Music Hall and the winner will be determined by a 50/50 jury and public vote.

Krystallia could easly become one of my favorites, but I imagine Kostas Martakis is exactly what you can expect Greece sending

Wow, I love 3 of those.

09.5 Kristallia / very Eurovision-y and such an anthem! Especially if she brings the VOX *.* Easy Top 10

08.5 Kostas Martakis / so Greek it hurts. Top 10 as well but what else is new rly

08.5 Rise Up / not very Eurovision-y but that Alex Gaudino-esque backing track is so catchy

03.0 Dancing Night / ridiculously generic and crap. she doesn't sound like recording the studio version was hard for her so I very much doubt she will bring it to the stage live. FLUSH THE BITCH

I'm so glad that you like Krystallia's song. It's my favourite of them!! The lyrics are well written.. The song is called "Butterfly in Athens" but it has a symbolic representation. The sad news are the fact that Kostas Martakis is the most popular of them. He has already a career in Greece and many girls/women love him. So, his song will receive many points from them. Krystalia is a rising singer. I hope Greeks will apreciate Krystalia's song and they will make a difference..

OMFG @ that kristallia song. surely a shoe-in for top 10 if it makes it through?

*.*

Disappointingly low representation of skanks with ethnostompers and poor vocal ability.

Kristallia or nothing.

All of these songs were chosen as they will flop.

Freaky Fortune feat. Riskykidd have won with their song 'Rise Up'! The video for the song is below:

God, this doesn't fall into the AWFUL SHITE category that "Alcohol Is Free" and "Watch My Dance" belong in or with the amazing Greek entries that are "Secret Combination", "My Number One" etc.

First time I remember being so neutral with Greece. Leaning slightly towards the 'bad' side though :/ (but it'll never be ear rape on the scale of OPA!)

Damn it, well at least my 2nd favorite won. Thank god they didn't choose Kosta Martakis.
God Freaky Fortune would get it. Along with his inevitable 8th place finish.

I'm a little bit disappointed. I wanted Kristalia to be the winner. I would like a song with greek language than english..Silly voters..

But i was sure that Freaky Fortune would win. This kind of music (romanian music) is very popular in my country. I'm sure that the majority of Greeks know Inna and Alexandra Stan than Ellie Goulding and Jessie J. Unfortunately, romania music dominates our radio. That's why, i never listen to greek radios stations and i'm a member on this forum.
