After her X Factor winner's single, Leona unleashed "Bleeding Love" in October 2007 and it became a mammoth hit worldwide. It is still easily her biggest single to date, and is also perhaps her signature song. It held the #1 spot for a massive 7 weeks in UK.

For me, this was when Leona went from being an amazing singer to being a superstar. The song is one of the best of 2000s, and it deserves all the success it achieved worldwide. I find it's one of the Leona singles that has aged the least too. It sounds as fresh as it did when I first heard it back in 2007. Personally, I think Leona has topped it in terms of quality ("Run" and "Trouble"), but I think this will always remain her peak of commercial success unfortunately.

It was definitely the right song at the right time, I don't feel that it would have done anywhere near as well if it had been released in the past few years. It's great to be reminded of how big this actually was, it's unbelievable.

Her best song by far. The perfect song to let her break out.

I remember hearing it for the first time and being amazed and when she performed it on X-factor I fell in love with the song even more. I didn't expect it to do as well as it did, especially internationally, but was so happy when it smashed across the world. :wub:

I'm a bit confused why they decided to make a new version for US release. I thought the original was perfectly good, and I in fact prefer it.

I prefer the UK version tbh. I don't see why they had to film another video for the US, although that video is alright. I just love the part when the sprinklers go off and Leona is belting out the ending in the £100,000 dress she's wearing. :D

The UK version is definitely more exciting, with a lot more going on.

I think this is in my top 3 fave songs of all time. It's just so stunning and I'm glad someone as talented as Leona got to release it :wub:

Original is much better. It looks high budget and the US looks cheap.
