A very wasted opportunity which is a disappointment. I really cant see another single getting a release of the album unless from a re-packaged edition. It is horrible that we see a number 1 single these days and the follow up missing the top 100

I do wonder if they are interested in singles outside of the first release? For me singles are important because in many cases they are the catalyst for album sales. LITS isn't the strongest song off the album by any stretch but it's worth a Top 10 position.

It's a bit of a dilemma for TT - a strong album overall but the songs don't stack up as radio friendly stand alone pieces. Higher Than Higher would have been a better choice because it holds up well as a stand alone record in my view.

They really need to go back to basics and recapture the sound of 2006. Maybe it won't pay off , maybe the music public has moved on from that sound? However I doubt it. If Ed and Sam can sell in large numbers then there's still a market for ballad led songs. TT's single campaigns also need to be more cohesive and focused to have any impact on the charts.

On a side note - totally in love with the Neverland songs. What You Mean To Me is absolutely enchanting and one of the best songs Gary's written since RTW.

I still think we're gonna get a 3rd single as well - Flaws, Howard's favorite. They've done a video for Get Ready - Gary's favorite, LITS - Mark's favorite and they'll do one for Flaws.

I really think Flaws and Higher than Higher could do well, IF promoted. They were the most requested songs for the tour. I've even seen a good cover of Flaws on yt, which means the song could reach a wider audience and it resembles the BW sound.

I'm completely confused about LITS. It's like they wanted to let in slip under the radar. No promotion, no official announcement of the release, no effort from either the label or the boys.

On a side note, I'm completely mesmerized by the score of Finding Neverland. If Gary released tomorrow When Your Feet Don't Touch the Ground as a single, I'd be the 1st person to buy it. I'm probably more excited about FN than I am about III.

Higher and Higher deserves to be single status and i wholeheartedly agree What You Mean To Me is enchanting and its a song of its status that could be a hit. I can agree too with returning to the sound of 2006 as that sound fits in with what is popular today by the likes of Sam and Ed. Songs in the style of patience and rule the world would do as well now as they did then as that sound is consistently popular.

I'm probably one of the few but although I really like Flaws as a song I'm not keen on Gary's vocals!! His higher range should be used sparingly in my opinion. If his vocals were in a lower range then the sound would be richer.

Another problem with Flaws as a third song would be complaints about Gary leading again - so perhaps a Mark led single would placate some people although I still think that Higher Than Higher would be their best single option.

Agree with you Milly. I absolutely adore the Neverland score but not convinced that America will feel the same because of its pop element. I would love to hear a TT take on some of the songs from the musical but that's never going to happen sadly.

Love the songs I've heard from FN so far.

The next single will have to be a Mark song, into the wild might be the most logical, unless the go for something like believe that maybe people might not have (assuming they haven't bought the deluxe version)

Flaws is a lovely song but I don't think it's strong enough to stand on its own.

I really don't like Lovelife. The only catchy line is "Do you really love life?" and that sounds like it's taken from Lady Gaga's Telephone.

If they HAVE to go with a Mark led song, I'd rather it was Into the Wild, but I still don't see why they wouldn't go with a stronger song on the album instead of pleasing a few hundreds of Mark's fans.

When people first heard Shine they thought it was awful (I did when they performed it on 'An Audience With' but it was a grower and it brought Take That a lot of new fans - people I know who didn't even know it was Take That - one of the reasons was because they didn't think it was Take That - they wouldn't have been seen dead listening to anything that a boyband had anything to do with previously).

Your line 'pleasing a few hundreds of Mark's fans' just proves that there are two types of fans of the group - Gary fans and Take That fans - I assume Milly that you are just a Gary fan and put up with the others out of sufferance.

I won't hide the fact that I'm first and foremost a GB girl :) But I do love TT and I do like songs where Gary doesn't take the lead - What Is Love, Wooden Boat, Mancunian Way, Hold Up A Light and so on. I just have a hard time listening to Mark's voice and his solo tour did prove that he doesn't have that many fans, which ultimately means that most TT fans = GB fans.

When TT released Shine, they were still relishing from the benefits of their reunion and Mark's reputation hadn't been severely tarnished - 2 important factors that they won't benefit now from. Besides, Shine was a really strong single.

I'm just trying to think from a commercial point of view. If a track with Gary's lead vocals didn't do well, what chances does 1 of Mark's tracks stand?

But, aside from all this, I honestly believe there are stronger songs on III than the ones sung by Mark. I Like It is so quirky and fun and captivating and it's better than all of Mark's songs on III. That's one example. And, as I said, people really like Higher than Higher and radios could easily embrace a track like that. I know that Mark's fans really want a single where he takes the lead, but singles should be chosen according to other criteria. They need a strong song and they need promotion. Just look at Let Me Go. It's still in top 300 after all this time, because it was a strong single.

Anyway, I'll support TT even if they do decide to release Lovelife or Into the Wild.

I'm with Milly on this one. Mark is a great performer and very good song writer but as a big TT fan I can see the limitations in his voice. It's a very distinctive sound but I struggle to listen to it unless it's the right song, otherwise it's a car crash in my view. I really appreciate Mark, he's an integral part of TT without a shadow of a doubt but I truly believe that 90% of the general public would rate Gary's voice above Mark's.

That said I don't have a problem with Mark or Howard on lead vocals so long as the single is a strong one. The overall sound is the most important thing -who leads is academic in that respect.

I genuinely can't see the point in a third single at this stage. It looks like LITS has bombed and I can't see a third single doing any better. Higher Than Higher should have been the second single. I really question the decision making when it comes to song choices after the initial lead single. Similar mistakes were made with Progress - something like Don't Say Goodbye or Flowerbed should have been considered above the likes of Kidz and Love Love.

If the cd-s for LITS have been dispatched and some of them delivered, do they count for this week or for next week?

I'm not sure Milly.

There was a mix up with the TV listings last night apparently. They are now on ant and dec next Saturday instead

Hopefully the tour will give the album a big spike back to the top 5 like previous tours
Based on sales, the album was @25, so only 7 places drop, which isn't that bad. Streaming is definitely not TT fans' forte.
Three still managed 3,500 or thereabouts from reading through this weeks sales report.

I wonder if they'll be on Comic Relief this week?
