It may help it enter the top 100 but it wont help it achieve a new peak unfortunately.

Well if that's true.... a big, big mistake. Why would they think a single that's flopped is worth performing weeks after its release? A completely puzzling decision in my view, which won't help sell the re vamped album. I sometimes despair at the choices they make!!!!!
It IS the new single though at the end of the day, flop or not, so it's not exactly a surprise. It won't help the single much though and a ballad probably would have helped the album repack more...such is life!

I'm just hoping that the DVD will get them to double platinum. Would be good to get some more promo lined up, but not sure what else they could do apart from XF.
I am hoping the same. It is the first time since they came back that im finding it hard to call how this release will do. Progress live shocked me when it missed the top 10 so that also makes predicting how the new version of three will do. The negative against progress live was it was the 3rd format of the album and people probably werent willing to buy the album a third time.
I never viewed Progress like this before, if we consider the DVD, the era had 4 separate releases which is a lot and hard for fans to afford all.

Looks like III has sold 483,000 - so it should make double platinum with the re-release. 5 weeks ish until Xmas, so if it can do around 25k a week it'll make it.
It will be very close, unless the re-release does much better than we are starting to think.
I don't think the re-release will sell that well and unlikely to make double platinum. I suspect it won't make the top10 even. It's a shame.
I don't believe any of us expect the re-release as a stand alone release to make double platinum. We are looking for the combined sales of this and the original to make a combined total of 600,000.

I do hope it can do 100,000 or so. The Progress Live album sold over 200,000 so hopefully it's possible

You guys will like the other 3 new songs. They're not as uptempo as Hey Boy

Will You Be There For Me - Gary lead (Ballad, a favorite of mine, would fit in Beautiful World/Circus)

Carry Me Home - Gary lead (Folksy uptempo, Since I Saw You Last sound with a bit of Progress influence in it)

Bird in Your Hand - Mark Lead (Ballad, sounds similar to Wonderful World on the Progressed album)

I am excited to hear the new songs in full. Progress live had good sales for a low peak, The Circus live on its own merit went double platinum and more. 125,000 - 150,000 on this is not a totally ridiculous target.

I love the 3 new songs, especially Will You Be There. I liked better the demo of Carry Me Home, but I still enjoy what I hear.

Any of these 3 new songs would have been a better single than Hey Boy, imo. WYBT would have sounded so lovely on SCD, with a pair dancing on it.

Love the new songs! Much better than Hey Boy! Really like Carry Me Home

Just home from work - logged on to find snippets from the three new songs. I have to concur with everyone - Carry Me Home and WYBT sound lovely. Difficult to assess properly from the short sections on line but based on what I've heard, the decision to choose Hey Boy is most certainly a perplexing one.

Either would have been a great lead single for the re release
Will You Be There For Me is STUNNING, there's no other word for it. If they performed it on Strictly, they'd have no problem reaching double platinum.

Milly, I agree. I love the song. I am so disappointed that they released Hey Boy and I think this has to be the direction they take from now on. I've read a lot of comments along the lines of .... 'why are TT singing this type of music' (Hey Boy).... 'what happened to TT' 'their new music is sh..' ' preferred their old style of music.'

Comments for the new three songs have been far more favourable.

Not sure about Mark's song - what is it with him and distorting his voice? It drives me mad!
