Do Amazon make up a lot of their sales? Would have thought HMV, Tesco etc would be the places that drive sales

Given all the negative publicity 9 isn't too bad. Fantastic news about the BBC show which sounds like it's scheduled for over Christmas. Ideally it should have aired at the beginning of December to capitalize on the run up to the holidays.

 

I so wished they'd arranged an Audience with now, but it is great to have something positive to look forward to. Does anyone know if the rumours around Gary and The Voice are true? I would prefer him not to take on any TV commitments but I swear that man is a workaholic . Either that or there's two of him. :)

Jay, as far as I know, Amazon is the biggest album seller.

But someone said that even stores are recalling the dvd-s, which doesn't help either.

 

I doubt the rumours about The Voice are true. I wouldn't like for Gary to get more hateful comments, as it happened with XF, but I wouldn't mind seeing his face weekly :)

I hope Gary doesn't do the Voice, it isnt for him. Concentrate on writing huge hits for Take That is my request.

I actually wouldn't be opposed to him doing The Voice. If only for 1 year to boost awareness again, seeing as people will be watch it to see what it's like.

 

He'd also sing pretty much every week too!

There has been a product recall on the reissue. Had email from HMV.

I think iTunes doesn't sell it anymore either, cause it's dropping like a stone.

If they manage a top 20 position based on only 3 days of sale, we can call this a success.

When you buy online and there is a product recall is postage covered??

 

What a disaster having it recalled,the DVD is rumoured to be getting a stand alone release on Dec 11th so people may wait for that now. The new version will plummet on itunes or hasnt done that well as you only get the 4 songs, you need to buy it phisically to get the full advantage of the dvd inclusion (thats of course that it works!!)

I wonder how quickly they can turn it around and get a new one out and back in the shops?

Totally ridiculous. I was just going to ask the same thing, how long will it take it get it back out on sale? With the way it has turned out the album will absolutely drop like a stone next week and will miss out on crucial sales.

Aphrodite, someone wrote Universal and they said that the postage of the new dvd will be covered by them. The delivery of the new dvd is free.

 

This is such a mess. It's like nothing's going right this era.

The idea of a package of cd+dvd was so lovely, but a simple mistake ruined everything.

Yes, it is ruined and many people will probably just ask for a refund instead. Could not have went more wrong if they tried.

Maybe we'll see more promo now to make up for this

Three 2015 is very likely to chart lower than Progress Live which was number 12. I really am not seeing double platinum been achieved for Three at all now.

Let's be honest, if Adele or Sam Smith had released this album, it would have gotten both critical acclaim and commercial success. I hate to see it not get the recognition it deserves.

It's a better album than Progress, yet it's not getting the same exposure.

Of course it will chart lower than Progress Live with only 3 days of sales and rumours going around about the dvd sticking.

 

I'm putting all my hopes in that BBC1 show and in the fact that, by then, the dvd issue would have been solved and Christmas would have worked its magic :)

I can't stop playing the three new songs - on constant repeat. My DVD seems to be ok but what a shambles. There doesn't appear to have been any quality control of the product.

 

Let's hope the BBC show gets a good schedule spot and not some death spot which no one will see. They need maximum exposure now. A slot on X Factor ( in spite of it's falling viewing figures ) would be fantastic, but there's no indication that they're going to appear. If they performed WYBTFM on the show I would be amazed if album sales didn't significantly increase.

I know that my optimism will turn into delusion with this next question, but nothing ventured, nothing gained, so, here it goes: any chance of TT performing on the Brit Awards this /next year? A beautiful performance of WYBTFM on the Brits and XF would take care of the sales.

I can't see them appearing at the Brits. Didn't they appear last year and perform LITS with little or no impact on sales?

 

The only chance of an appearance would be for the Lifetime Achievement Award. Given that the Brits aren't too keen on TT I would be surprised if that happened. The Brits will belong to Adele with possible awards to Sam/Ed. Given their love for ID I'm sure they'll come up with some kind of award for them too.

We should look at this new edition release as fans only release, i can not now see it appealing to anyone outside that. The faulty DVD stories will put a lot of consumers off buying it.
