Posted February 28, 201411 yr I know that Selfish Giant was released in October 2013 for cinemas across London and the Uk. But it was released in my country (in other countries too) last week. I went to cimema for watching this fim because it had a nomination at Bafta Awards as "Best British Film". It's a great movie!!! The female writer/director Clio Barnard did an amazing work!! It is inspired by the Oscar Wilde story of the same name. The two young actors are very talented (Two stars are born)!!! i guess that Clio Banard wanted to show us "the other side of U.k". Many people believe that U.k is a rich country with many job positions. But "The Selfish Giant" showed us the other side of this matter. It is an emotional movie and i felt quite sad at the end of the movie..Clio had the guts to direct this film! The story is very meaningful. It's a strong combination of beautiful and awful things which they happen in reality such as friendship, love for animals, bulling, rejection, unemployment, children's exploitation and bad relationship with parents. I'm already a fan of hers. lvLxOKou7Nc Edited February 28, 201411 yr by Insomnio
