July 30, 201410 yr The label would have asked for rights to the song otherwise the label wouldn't have let them record, and subsequently release is on the album, surely? Apparently since 'Waiting Game' was released on an EP, it was already in the public domain and can therefore be covered without the consent of the original artist/label. They've essentially done the same with 'Take Me To Church' since that's only been released on Hozier's EP as well. Regardless, it's really awful to see a situation where an artist like Banks is helpless to prevent her (deeply personal) work being sold by someone else before she's been able to release it on its parent album.

Where did you read that? :o
July 30, 201410 yr Popjustice . Makes sense though IMO. It does to be honest  I just hope nothing comes of this little drama!
July 30, 201410 yr The So Alive love is amazing! Charli XCX really is on fire on ATM! I can't get enough of Bad Man and Future X Girl, they NEED to tour! :D
July 30, 201410 yr I can't get enough of Bad Man and Future X Girl, they NEED to tour! :D At their listening party they did hint at it apparently. But if sales aren't going to have longevity will they bother with a tour?
July 30, 201410 yr At their listening party they did hint at it apparently. But if sales aren't going to have longevity will they bother with a tour? Who's to say they won't have longevity? Well if people buy tickets to see Little Mix...
July 30, 201410 yr Yeah the rap is so cringe! "Im a proud black man, with a proud white mother" -bursts out laughing-
July 31, 201410 yr Who's to say they won't have longevity? Well if people buy tickets to see Little Mix... They aren't doing much promotion, are they? Hardly anyone outside the "Ohana" knows about the album. And the album is coming off the back of Louder, had it come off the back of Braveheart they might have a bit more interest.
August 1, 201410 yr Downloaded it for three days, and here's the rate (so far) :P Braveheart | 10/10 Welcome To the Jungle | 9/10 Trouble | 8/10 Louder | 10/10 Can't Stop the Love (feat. Snob Scrilla) | 8/10 Bad Man | 6.5/10 - Cool song, but I can't listen to it many times, it's getting boring :D Sleepless In London | 8/10 Waiting Game | 9/10 - Love this cover, especially on the last verse of Amira & Shereen So Alive | 6/10 Fool Me | 7/10 Future X Girl | 7/10 - Sounds like a track from Ke$ha 's previous album :s London Rain | 11/10 - Best track so far! Needs to be a single, but I know it wouldn't as it is only on the deluxe edition :( Fool Me (Acoustic) | 7.5/10 Trouble (Line of Best Fit Acoustic) | 7.5/10 Take Me To Church | 5/10 - Easily forgettable Royals (Line of Best Fit Acoustic) | 7/10 - Nice cover, but I hope they could give some more great harmonies as Little Mix would have done :D
August 3, 201410 yr So glad someone else finds Bad Man boring  It is safe to say they are looking safe to flopping - according to popbars the album is sitting at 46 - that's the deluxe and the standard is at 315
August 3, 201410 yr This went in at number eight on the album charts. I don't think it'll manage to sustain top 20 next week, it's flitting about in the 40s according to livepopbars
August 3, 201410 yr Same peak as Stooshe's debut. I somehow hope the girls do better with the sales overall and don't end up with the same fate as they did Edited August 3, 201410 yr by Cameron
August 3, 201410 yr Same peak as Stooshe's debut. I somehow hope the girls so better with the sales overall and don't end up with the same fate as they did I dread to think they'll get a second one and that'll fall on it's face, then they'll be dropped by the end of 2015/2016  I just can't believe how little promo they've done for this era, they could have done so much more instead of one Lorraine interview.
August 3, 201410 yr Same peak as Stooshe's debut. I somehow hope the girls do better with the sales overall and don't end up with the same fate as they did With four singles off this already, how many more can they realistically hope to release? It wouldn't surprise me if the next one did a My Man Music and did nothing for the album. I still don't get why they didn't capitalise on the success of Braveheart. Girl groups are so bloody chicken with releasing their albums!

Definitely should have been announced after Braveheart for preorders at least!
August 3, 201410 yr Agreed. Definitely should have been announced after Braveheart for preorders at least! It just frustrates me - I mean, Stooshe originally had their album ready to go to be released after Black Heart, but they delayed it, Waterfalls (rightly) flopped horribly, delayed again (this time printed) and released it a year after their last recognizable hit! Imagine if they had stuck with their guns. I think their careers wouldn't be completely in the dumper right now at least. The four+ singles strategy really only seems to work for dance acts like David Guetta or Calvin Harris where singles at the end of the day is the important product. For acts like Stooshe and Neon Jungle it just seems like a quick way to waste the entire campaign budget before the album is actually released. Edited August 3, 201410 yr by tommie

I just hope NJ aren't because I really like what they've done with this album and love their image and style and the music of course
August 4, 201410 yr I'm glad to see some love for 'London Rain'. It's a beautiful song! I hope they don't get dropped either. #8 is really good and nothing to sniff at. I hope they are given a chance to release a 2nd album. I'm not THAT into them, but I believe they have some really good potential and I just want some more music so they can prove themselves to me.
