Then avoid this, I don't want to spoil the plot, but... OK I do. Charles Dickens gets a crush on an 18-year-old, gets her pregnant and has a 13-year relationship with her and is a bit mean to his wife. Acting and costumes all very good.

 

Essentially a 45-minute BBC soap drama spread over 2 hours, it had none of the wit and power of Dickens. I got annoyed with the woman in the seat behind me, when she kicked the back of my chair. She woke me up and I had to sit through the rest of the film.
