Posted March 7, 201411 yr ^_^ n4yr's Top 40! Chart Date: 7th March, 2014 Chart #: 264 So I came across this Peking Duk song in the ARIA charts lately, and I've been hooked on it all week. It smashes through 130 points, and shoots 37-1, which breaks the record for highest climb to #1 (previously held by Neon Jungle's Trouble which went 31-1 last year.) This is also the highest position jump in my top 40 chart history. Just waiting for that one song to go 40-1 someday. The entire top 3 are songs making massive jumps, and therefore creating making most songs in this week's chart go in backwards movement. #2-4 are all virtually tied in points, and could have been in any order this week, really. Air Balloon finally clicked with me this week, and I was really getting into Changes, as well as randomly liking Take Me Home a lot. Going into this chart, I thought any of those 3 were going to be #1, and I hard a really hard time deciding. But as I listened to High more and more, it became the dark horse and flew past everything. The next few weeks will be interesting, though TMH has probably lost its chance at #1. Because of all this, and me starting to get bored of I Got U already, it falls all the way from 1 to 5. The biggest fall from #1 still belongs to Heartless by Kanye West, which fell 1 to 8 many years ago. Also, Kylie finally enters the top 10 with her latest single. Though #8 will probably be her peak. Undressed soars to #14, and has a good shot at making top 10 next week. Peppermint stalls just outside the top 15, Vance Joy falls 8 places as it's on its second chart run so it might not have the best longevity.. and Wizard inches up a spot to enter the top 20. As the novelty of Word Up has worn off, I've kinda gone off Little Mix's charity single (and it's not even released yet ugh.) I'm ready for a new single from Salute (as evidenced by Little Me and Move both dropping out this week.) Also, all 2013 #1's are gone now. The two messiest songs on my chart move up to #26 & #27. With David Guetta's thingy, and the female Eat Sleep Rave Repeat thingy. Debuting this week are Christina Perri, Eminem's latest single (his return after The Monster didn't chart at all), Wasting My Young Years (which I never got into when it was released last year, but randomly got into it lately, and since I don't like LG's current single as much, I decided to randomly chart this one), and Kristina Maria's new single. Oh ya, and Beyoncé charts her first song in over 2 years, after not liking either Drunk In Love (which I find annoying) and XO (which I find boring).
