Posted March 8, 201411 yr going to regularly update this thread with small news stories, worth mentioning but not exactly deserving of their own thread
March 8, 201411 yr Author The Rapture Have Broken Up According to DFA Records, the Rapture have broken up. As self-titled points out, the band did not announce their breakup, neglecting to make a public statement until a press release for Red Bull Music Academy's latest New York Takeover cited frontman Luke Jenner ("formerly of the Rapture") as one of the evening's guests. Luke Jenner and Vito Roccoforte formed the Rapture in San Francisco in the late 90's. The band released their first album, Mirror, in 1999 and moved through a roulette of bassists and keyboardists before bassist Matt Safer joined the band in 2001. The Rapture released a six song EP, Out of the Races and Onto the Tracks, later that year. Gabriel Andruzzi joined on keys in 2002. The band released three more albums together: 2003's Echoes, 2006's Pieces of the People We Love, and a mix CD called Tapes (2008), before Safer left the band later in 2009. 2011's In the Grace of Your Love was the band's last release. rZc-FY6elb8

March 10, 201411 yr House of Jealous Lovers will always remain a great tune, but I don't think anyone will take to their bed over that news.
