Less than two months to go, and the first trailer with footage has been released.

Really excited for this. I expect it will premiere really high and then drop off, but there's certainly a gap in the current market for Jack Bauer to return.

24 is my favourite show of all time, but Kiefer looks too old now :( Still, I'm very glad it's returning, I reckon it'll do well.
Looking forward to this, one of my favourite shows.

Anyone else watching then?

The two hours flew by, I saw the twist at the end coming a mile off, but really enjoyable fun. Liking the setting, the majority of the characters seem interesting/shady.

I was thinking about waiting for all the episodes to come out so could watch it all in one hit but I gave in and watched it..so glad its back :)

Wow this is so good.

The beginning was weird because it was like watching an old show, but by the end of the first ep I was totally caught again! So exciting!

Apparently in Hour 5, (mild spoiler)

Jack & Audrey meet again

Did anyone feel like the grenade scene seemed too fake? Still, a great episode with the usual amazing mole revelation halfway through the season.

I found the first half of the episode really slow, but the second half was excellent.

Wonder who Navarro was talking to? Wonder if it's a character we've already met (unlikely imo) or an old character... either way, it's obvious that the framing of Kate's husband will probably be in some way linked to the main terror plot!

Explosive episode! Loved every second of it.

Looks like Navarro is working with

Adrian Cross

. What could it be for?

But Cross looks like he's the middle man which presumably means there's a bigger bad. Either way to me it looks like Navarro is probably being blackmailed, or was the one who actually sold secrets.

Loved that episode!

I'm a bit sad this series is only 12 episode long though, because it won't possibly be as tense as a 24 episode long series.

Do we know if the ratings are good for this? And is this definitely a one-off series? No chance of coming back for an other full season?

The ratings aren't great, but it's a summer show so I've no idea what the bench mark is. I'd say Fox would probably want to bring it back if it's trying to go for year round programming. The biggest obstacle is the show is probably the most expensive to produce. The good thing is all their other summer series hae bombed so maybe.

Time jump is apparently coming in the finale. It will be the first episode not to take place in real time :o I'm spoilering the title just in case:

10:00 P.M. – 11:00 A.M

I've yet to watch episode 9 but episode 8 was surreal, and not in a good way. As if the US President would accept to get bombed in the middle of a stadium. As if his first adviser would accept it. As if Jack would accept it.

It wasn't believable for one second. Especially since he was dealing with TERRORISTS and he had no guaranty AT ALL they would keep their words. Since when are they trustworthy, especially to Jack? Complete, absolute non sense.

I just hope it was some trick and the President will re-appear at some point.

Since when has 24 ever been not-surreal though? :P It's good fun television.

It wasn't meant to look believable to the audience, hence the absence of the silent clock (there is one almost every time a major character dies).

The Wembley CGI were ABC-level HILARIOUS.

It all sounded pretty silly to me, in a way it never did before with the show.

You always have extraordinary stuff happening in shows like 24, Homeland and House of Cards but the main trick is to make it look "believable" somehow. The US President offering his death to a terrorist group without any guaranty to save lives is plain stupid.

That's only my opinion anyway.

To be fair, it was the first time in 24 where the President was partly to blame for the attack, because it was he that brought the drones to England, not to mention that had the extra pressure of being responsible for the lives of foreign citizens. I'm not trying to justify the writers as it was far from perfect, but in my opinion it wasn't unbelievable either. ^_^
