It all sounded pretty silly to me, in a way it never did before with the show.

You always have extraordinary stuff happening in shows like 24, Homeland and House of Cards but the main trick is to make it look "believable" somehow. The US President offering his death to a terrorist group without any guaranty to save lives is plain stupid.

That's only my opinion anyway.

I love 24, but it's never been as realistic as Homeland or House of Cards. The US president was involved in a major terrorist plot at one point haha!

i just watched episode 9, and since the terrorist situation has been resolved, I'm still thinking there is another person involved, it could be something to do with Kate's ex partner who could have gone rogue, well that's my theory.

I wonder if the other antagonist has to do with Margot in any way. In 24 there always used to be a chain, but in this case there doesn't seem to be a relation.

I think the big bad is the hacker guy, although he says he's working for a third party., so who knows really. It's a bit late in the day though to be introducing another big bad who we've not already met though.
It's probably Mark Boudreau, then. Can't think of anyone else.

Could be the Russians then. We've not seen their Minister that works at the Embassy for a long time. There's only three episodes left for Jack to find out the President (/Bodreau) stated he would had Jack Bauer over to the Russians.

okay, I am watching this having never gone past s01e01 of the main series~ Got through all 9 episodes in one day and it's such fun! Completely unrealistic ridiculous OTT fun. Could actually resume watching it from the very beginning because if this is the amount of action that happens in just 9 hours then I imagine what will happen in full 24 *.*

It was really WEIRD but I loved watching LADY STARK be an evil bitch too *.*

If you enjoy this Pavel, then you'll love the main series. Season 5 is the best full season of television I've ever witnessed. Just a shame the later series are a bit rubbish. I am enjoying Live Another Day, but it's nothing compared to vintage 24.

Season 5 is my favourite as well, followed by Seasons 1 & 3. There is a decrease in quality in Seasons 6-8 but it's still worth watching. Cherry Jones is LOVELY.

Yeah 6-8 are all ok (although the 6 first episodes of Season 6 are amazing) but by this point, it's a tried and tested forumla, and I don't think the writers know how to replicate what happened in Season 5. Just so many OMG/WTF moments, brilliant actors, and loads twists and turns. It's amazing TV.

Always so funny to see (and especially hear) fake Russians on American TV :D

Best episode so far. Every second was awesome. Everything escalated so quickly! Cheng, the Russians, the Chinese AND both Chloe and Audrey abducted? That's some amazing 24 salad there! Can see why the finale spans 12 hours. I hope it's extended. BRING IT ON!

Chloe escaped tho~
Chloe escaped tho~

I know, I watched the trailer though and it looks like they're crossing each other like a hostage exchange? Not sure.***

Fantastic trailer, either way.

"If anything happens to her, your entire world will come apart."

"I think I'm the only friend you have left."

"It's time for you to go home."

***Edit: Scratch that. Here's a scene from the finale, posted by Fox. Not sure why they claim it's a 'spoiler'. Nothing we don't already know.

Can certainly see one of Chloe/Audrey dying in the finale.. we've not really had a major character death yet. Plus I think Jack needs to lose someone else he's close to, he's not had that happen to him yet :D
BLOODTHIRSTY ROO

SPOILERS AHEAD I DON'T CARE

omg president falling down when he learned Audrey is dead. Something about it was SO funny. Audrey dead tho :( Oh well, I expected it tbh. Her father has Alzheimers, husband is a traitor, Jack is... Jack, so was there room for development really (provided that there are new seasons~)?

I just knew one of her or Chloe would die! They didn't have a major death all season, so there had to be one in the finale.

Really strong episode, hope it comes back in some form. I'm not OK with that as an ending. If they do another series they have to bring Tony back, and make him a good guy this time!

The last episode was so sad. :(

Poor Audrey didn't ask for nothing and boom she's dead.

Can anyone explain me who is taking Jack at the end? The Russians right?

And what did Jack did to them in the past? I can't remember (or I might have skipped that season)...
