I personally thought it was nice to see Leona do something different, but clearly that's not what the great British public wanted. I definitely do prefer her ballad singles though in the main. It was just nice to see her do something different.
Well for me personally it's still the best thing she's ever done! :o I loved the different direction and find it so catchy so I'd rather listen to this out of choice than any of her ballads.

I really loved this at the time (It's the only Leona CD single that I bought on release week). Thought it was going to be huge when I first heard it, was gutted to see it flop (by her standards at the time). :(

These day, 'Forgive Me' would look like a mega-hit for her ('One More Sleep' aside).

Indeed. It's sad how times have changed, and how she struggles to get hits anymore! :( I'm still hopefully she'll have a moderately big hit at least once more though. It could be "One More Sleep" re-entering each year, and potentially racking up some big sales in a few years time!

I really like the change in tempo and think it really suits her. I think that if she released songs of this nature now, it might be the right way to go...

Why did they not release something in between Better in Time and this though? Bleeding Love in October, Better In Time in March and then this in November. Perhaps having another hit might have secured better longevity?

I actually really liked this a lot at the time. I was a BIG Leona fan in those days though, up until Echo anyway.

I think it's because she had to keep going to the US to promote "Bleeding Love" and "Better In Time" after both of their UK successes. Which meant there were large gaps between new singles. I agree that they should have released more singles regardless. As the UK's biggest worldwide star at the time, she wouldn't have been short of radio/TV airplay support.

Love this. I really like what she did with it on tour as well. Really like listening to it on warm sunny days, like today!
I never quite understood the point in this song, it was clearly made for the US audiences, yet was never pushed over there? I always preferred "Misses Glasses".
i only like the verses of 'Forgive Me', catchy and different. definitely not her best though.
This is amongst her best! I really like up-tempo Leona, but sadly the GP wasn't there for it
I LOVED this. One of my favourites by her. And massively underrated. Of course a 5-10-10 chart run for her, these days would be pretty impressive.

Well, "One More Sleep" did do a 3-3-15, which is close enough. :D

Loved this and still do! But I don't blame the general public for not latching onto this, especially coming from a campaign with Bleeding Love, Better in Time and Footprints in the Sand; the lyrical content just contrasted against them.

And then came Run.
