i've posted on buzzjack since the beginning but i don't think i've ever been so offended as what oricon said to me. i am very ill but to use that against me in an argument and make out that i'm stupid. why bring me being ill into things? do you have ANY idea how difficult things have been for me during this last month? never have i seen such a character incapable of taking any responsibility for themselves and you are the moderator of this whole thing?! much like the other snide remark he made regarding me having not sending songs for veto? done in a totally snide fashion also. but more ridiculously this being the individual who did none of the hard work for his competition, leaving that for bré but stepping in and doing the fun final bit himself. the hypocrisy is disgusting.

there is a crisis in ukraine, a missing plane, drought affecting many different places in the world. this is a song competition and some of you really need to get a grip. i apologise for the imperfections, i've put a lot of time in and am trying my best. where is the joy in all of this?

 

That as may be, but a lot of people are quite passionate about this song competition. None of it's personal and no-one is ignoring the work you've already put into this but if something is wrong they will notice. I can't do anything but offer my sympathies as it must feel terrible with people on your case right now. And just hope that this can all get sorted very soon and we can get to the part where everyone is enjoying it.

I think I may have completely missed what was going on here (trying to do too many things at once on the net), but it seems like all that happened was that Jake made a few small errors, understandably given the size of the task involved. You could have calmly pointed out to him via PM what needed to be corrected, but instead have heckled him publicly in this thread which is well, a bit out of order.

 

If I'd spent hours putting something together and then was immediately shouted at for getting it wrong, well I'd wonder why I had bothered too.

jake, don't worry about that, it's just an online competition which should be fun. if there's any problem while preparing the semi finals - so what? (:

i can understand being passionate but there is a polite, calm and pleasant manner by which to express yourself. i will not be spoken to by anybody in the fashion i have thus far be it on here or in real life, passionate or totally disinterested.

 

and that doesn't explain oricon making spiteful digs either.

i can understand the wrong song being used being an issue but the spelling mistake gripes are all a bit :moon:

I remember when I hosted my first final (and I was like 14 lol) and I pretended I was ill half way because everyone was picking out how all of the points were wrong, so I wanted another night to do it :(

Oh please tell me Oricon wasn't throwing shade after the travesty of a Popjustice contest he just held. In which someone who met none of the entry pre-requisites, who wasn't even a member of the forum or even allowed to post in the thread won the whole thing.

There's always a certain level of people going ott with any errors somebody makes when they put the thread up but yeah today was all very much OTT.
