With the departure of the irreplaceably feisty founder member Mutya Buena with Amelle Berrabah, a 21 year old from Hampshire, the chart topping Sugababes are on a mission to prove they are still the fiercest girls in pop with the release of the undeniably new catchy single 'Red Dress', climbing a further 8 places to no.4. Kelly Clarkson returns to her hard rocking best with her new single 'Walk Away' climbing 5 places up the chart at No.9. Taken from her award winning album 'Breakaway', which has become an international sensation, 'Walk Away' speaks out to anyone who is continual disappointed by their loved one, delivered with all the angst and attitude the American Idol can muster. The highest new entry of 4 comes from Embrace 'Nature's Law' is the first single lifted from indie veterans Embrace's forthcoming album 'This New Day', the first new material since their 2004 "comeback" album, 'Out Of Nothing', truly awesome, great lyrics, great vocals, a spine tingling performance. Joey Negro, Ne*Yo and The Foo Fighters make up the rest of the new entries inside the top 40. KT Tunstall climbs a further 8 places to No.6 with 'Another Place To Fall' taken from Brit Award winning debut album 'Eye To The Telescope', is a mid-paced track, with a brooding vocal from KT and a dynamic, guitar led chorus. 'Nature's Law' is the first single lifted from indie veterans Embrace's forthcoming album 'This New Day', looks set to confound any critics of Embrace's staying power, earning themselves the biggest climber of the week, up 13 places to No.8. Girls Aloud continue their upward surge with the release of their sublime new single 'Whole Lotta History', at No.9. The highest new entry of 6 comes from The Editors, 'All Sparks' is the latest single to be taken from Editors' phenomenally successful debut album 'The Back Room', residing at No.18. Starting with a simple solo piano line, before sweeping strings and a gospel choir build to the atmosphere of a corker of a tune. The Feeling sits comfortably at No.2 for a second week, determined not to be shifted from the top 3 with their infectious track ‘Sewn’. Pink and KT Tunstall remain at their respectable positions of No.5 and 6 for a second week. 'All Sparks' is the latest offering to be taken from Editors' phenomenally successful debut album 'The Back Room', and nicely climbs a further 9 places to No.9. The innovative Yeah Yeah Yeahs to emerge from New York earns them a place in the top 10 at No.10, also been the highest climber of the week with their new release single 'Gold Lion' up 17 places and what a mighty return it is! With Karen O's war cries and searing guitar riffs over pounding and menacing drumbeats, taken from their forthcoming album 'Show Your Bones'. The highest new entry of 5, possibly the most energetic, lively and joyous single to be released so far this year, 'Why Won't You Give Me Your Love?' is the new single from, the Scottish band, The Zutons, in at No.14. Franz Ferdinand makes a welcome back return, in at No.20 with The Fallen as a re-entry. Mary J. Blige with U2, Will Young, The Crimea and The Strokes make up the rest of the new entries inside the Top 40. Probably the best single to come out from the Scottish band The Zutons, ‘Why Won’t You Give Me Your Love’, with this confident and swaggering stomper of a tune, splendid with saxophone solos and hand clapping fervour, climbs another 9 places to No.5. Undisputed Queen of contemporary soul music and three-times Grammy winner Mary J Blige teams up with U2 for the release of the stunning version of the U2 classic 'One', earning them a place in the top 10 at No.9. The track can also be found on her new album ‘The Breakthrough’. The highest new entry of 6 surfaces at No.7 for Gnarls Barkley which is a collaboration between Cee-Lo and DJ Danger Mouse to provide what can only be described as a classic for 2006, with 'Crazy', an infectious hit in the making. Coldplay climbs a further 10 places to No.8, with ‘The Hardest Part’, taken from their million selling album X&Y, a very awe inspiring track. Franz Ferdinand has had quite a ride in the chart, at one stage it dropped out of the chart, and now it has finally peaked at No.10 after 11 weeks in the chart, with ‘The Fallen’, with its driving, muscular, guitar riff over a typically irresistible disco/rock beat. The highest new entry of seven comes from Snow Patrol in at No.11. They have return with a powerful track called ‘You’re All I Have’ taken from their forthcoming brand new studio album ‘Eyes Open’. The Raconteurs, Fall Out Boy, Wigham, Katie Melua, Deep Dish feat. Stevie Nicks and Rihanna make up the rest of the new entries inside the top 40. And before you ask why Rihanna, its catchy, once its in your head you can’t get rid of it, and it uses a sample from the 80s track ‘Tainted Love’ by Soft Cell, a little bit of chart trivia for ya. A definite highlight from Will Young's No.1 album 'Keep On', 'Who I Am' is a touching ballad, co-written by British songstress Lucie Silvas, which explores the complications of falling in love, which climbs another 5 places to No.8. The Raconteurs are Jack White, Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler with their debut track 'Steady, As She Goes', which builds slowly to a melodic crescendo, accentuated by the contrasting vocals from White and Benson. 'Steady, As She Goes' is taken from their debut album 'Broken Boy Soldiers', which earns them a Top 10 place at No.9 as the highest climber of the week. The highest new entry of 6 comes from The Flaming Lips, which have carved a reputation as one of the world's most creative musical forces. Now they provide a tantalisingly teaser of what is set to be one of 2006's most acclaimed albums in the shape of 'The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song', with its hugely infectious hook and elaborate vocal harmonies, taken from their new album ‘At War With Their Mystics’, in at No.10. Infernal, Beatfreakz, A-Ha, Goldfrapp and Richard Ashcroft, make up the rest of the new entries inside the top 40. The Raconteurs climb a further 6 places to No.3 with their infectious hit ‘Steady As She Goes’. The biggest climber of the week comes from Infernal up 17 places to No.6, with their infectious debut track ‘From Paris To Berlin’, this is what you call cheesy Electro EuroPop from the 90s, hence Eiffel 65 - Blue (Da Ba De). Infernal are made up of the luscious vocalist Lina Rafn and Nordic god, Paw Lagermann. Fall Out Boy delivered their breakthrough hit 'Sugar, We're Goin' Down' way back in February in my chart and still going strong to this day at No.36, just. Now the band display all their latest vocal abilities, with their latest offering 'Dance, Dance' climbing a further 12 places to No.7, taken from their studio album 'From Under The Cork Tree'. The highest new entry of 6 comes from Nerina Pallot, ‘Everybody's Gone To War’ is a rock-fuelled, energetic track, who cites Joni Mitchell as one of her main influences on her music, to form a truly enjoyable pop song, something all too rare at the moment, in at No.19. Chicane feat. Tom Jones, Cardigans, Dirty Pretty Things, Nina Simone vs. Grooverider and Panic! At The Disco, make up the rest of the new entries inside the top 40 this week. Infernal move a further 4 places to 2, with their highly addictive track ‘From Paris To Berlin’, while Fall Out Boy settle for No.3 this week, a note worth mentioning here, their album ‘From Under The Cork Tree’ is awesome, hardly a bad track on there. Another infectious dance track that has been running round my brain lately will have to be the infectious track from Beatfreakz ‘Somebody’s Watching Me’, in at No.9. Originally released in 1984 by Rockwell, which was a No.6 hit back than. The highest new entry of 7 comes from my favourite band of all time and my favourite No.1 single of theirs ‘West End Girls’. Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, when paired together they form The Pet Shop Boys, and have amassed over 35 singles to date capturing three decades in the music industry, and they are back on form with their new release ‘I’m With Stupid’in at No.6, taken from their soon to be release brand new studio album ‘Fundamental’. Quite an infectious single once it gets going, and the video features David Walliams and Matt Lucas from BBC’s Little Britain TV Series, more of a comedy spoof video to the Pet Shop Boys themselves, a top track which should see the boys on top again, where they belong. Red Hot Chili Peppers, Boy Kill Boy, Arctic Monkeys, Hot Chip, Kubb and Feeder make up the rest of the new entries inside the top 40. As for the album, its awesome, if you are a Snow Patrol fan, than you should add it to your record collection. Pet Shop Boys climb a further 4 places to No.2, with their infectious track ‘I’m With Stupid’. Nerina Pallot (full name Nerina Natasha Georgia Pallot) climbs inside the top 10 at No.7 with ‘Everybody’s Gone To War’ taken from studio album ‘Fires’. The single has got a hook to die for, having bought the album I haven't stopped playing it with a distinct voice of Tori Amos, her music and her songwriting skills are a comparison to Joni Mitchell. Red Hot Chili Peppers return with their new release 'Dani California' climbing 7 places up the chart to No.8, taken from their forthcoming double CD album 'Stadium Arcadium'. At the foot of the top 10, Chicane (aka Nick Bracegirdle) return to deliver another killer dance track ‘Stoned In Love’ teaming up with ultimate music legend Tom Jones, up 2 places to No.10. The highest new entry of 5 comes from Christina Milian collaborating with Young Jeezy, on her new track ‘Say I’ in at No.19, with an infectious hook to die for. "Dip It Low" was all over radio for a few months in 2004, her voice is small and fragile, like an airhorn with the handle pulled just slightly, but she seems to have pulled it off on her new track. Angels and Airwaves, Starsailor, Primal Scream and Daz Simpson make up the rest of the new entries inside the top 40. The Kooks have had a yo-yo effect in my chart for the past 9 weeks and finally peaked inside the top 10 at No.9, taken from their recent top ten debut album 'Inside In/Inside Out', actually when I first heard this track, I did not like it, but it has grew on me immensely over the last few weeks. The highest climber of the week goes to Hot Chip climbing 14 places to No.13, a beautifully melancholy ballad of loss and acceptance, that is perhaps the band's greatest pop moment so far – wonderful in its simplicity; heartbreaking in its honesty. The highest new entry of 6, having stormed into the top 10 earlier this year with the epic 'Sewn' one of my favourite singles of the year which failed by a whisker, by peaking at No.2, The Feeling return with 'Fill My Little World' taken from their debut album ‘Twelve Stops and Home’, with its stylistic nod to the retro 70's, middle of the road sound of 10cc, in at No.10. Sigur Rós, Robbie Williams, Orson, Mystery Jets and a re-entry from LL Cool J featuring Jennifer Lopez, making up the rest of the new entries inside the top 40. The Racounteurs are still stuck at No.2 for the second week, with ‘Steady As She Goes’ taken from their debut album ‘Broken Boy Soldiers’, and the album is pretty awesome, some great tracks on it. Hot Chip climb further up the chart with ‘Boy From School’ to No.6, a beautifully melancholy ballad of loss and acceptance, that is perhaps the band's greatest pop moment so far, wonderful in its simplicity. And further down one place at No.7 climbing 5 places for Sigur Rós with ‘Hoppipolla’, recently featured on the hit BBC series 'Planet Earth', 'Hoppipolla' is the other-worldly single from this enigmatic, Icelandic, alternative rock act, lifted from their critically acclaimed 'Takk' album. Christina Milian settles in at No.10 collaborating with Young Jeezy with her infectious new tune ‘Say I’, taken from her new studio album ‘So Amazin’. The single features a sample of Jackie Moore’s hit ‘Sweet Charlie Babe’. The highest new entry of 7 comes from the long awaited single from Keane, with their brand infectious new release ‘Is It Any Wonder?’ in at No.15, taken from their brand new studio album ‘Under The Iron Sun’ which is bound to sell bucket loads when its released, and tipped to be better than ‘Hopes & Fears’. Sandi Thom, Sunblock feat. Robin Beck, Jack Johnson, Pink, Corinne Bailey Rae and Matt Willis make up the rest of the new entries inside this week’s top 40. The Feeling peak at No.2 with ‘Fill My Little World’ actually their last single ‘Sewn’ also peaked at No.2 a few months back, will it go 1 better next week. Keane climb up the chart to No.3 with their brand new track 'Is It Any Wonder?'. Embracing their guitar-free ethos more wholeheartedly, 'Is It Any Wonder?' is a fitting appetiser for their forthcoming album, 'Under The Iron Sea', looks set to be one of the biggest albums of the year. Primal Scream climb inside the top 10 at No.8, 'Country Girl' is the freewheeling and bluesy comeback of Primal Scream. Taken from their forthcoming album 'Riot City Blues', further down the chart at No.10 is Sandi Thom, with her debut chart hit ‘I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker’, with her fairly unique mix of powerful, rootsy, soulful vocals and sparse instrumentation, consisting of only percussion and drums. The highest new entry of 7 comes from Kylie’s little sister Dannii Minogue with her so laid back infectious single ‘So Under Pressure’ it takes a while to get into, but after a few more listens it just grows on you, taken from her soon to be released Greatest Hits album, which includes tracks like, ‘This Is It’, ‘All I Wanna do’ and many classics. Embrace, Nelly Furtado, Cascada, The Automatic, Carola and The Futureheads make up the rest of the new entries inside the top 40 this week. The Feeling seem to be the curse of the No.2 position, their last single ‘Sewn’ also peaked at No.2, and their new album ‘Twelve Stops & Home’ is released on Monday, which should be in my mailbox this coming Saturday. Sandi Thom is still on going upwards and sitting comfortably at No.4. The highest climber of the week comes in the shape of a beautiful young lady by the name of Nelly Furtado, climbing 20 places to No.7, with her infectious new track ‘Maneater’ and it has a clever hook to die for, which is taken from her primarily beat-driven forthcoming album, 'Loose'. If you ever wanted a footie track in the chart it would have to be the new single from Embrace with ‘World At Your Feet’, it’s the Official England World Cup song, not really a classic footie anthem but after a few listens it has me hooked, bit controversial, as it has been viewed by some footy fans as being too much of a song and not enough of a 'chant', at No.10. The highest new entry of 4 comes from Heidi, Amelle and Keisha otherwise know as the sassy girl band Sugababes at No.24, this time pulling at our heartstrings with the sublime 'Follow Me Home', rumoured to be the last single taken from their album ‘Taller In More Ways’ and they will be back towards the end of the year with a Greatest Hits compilation album, featuring some of their well know hits ‘Freak Like Me’, ‘Hole In The Head’ and many more. Shakira feat Wyclef Jean, Kelly Clarkson, Shery Crow feat. Sting makes up the rest of the new entries inside the top 40 this week. There is no shifting at No.2 for the Feeling, still riding high, for the third week running, their album ‘Twelve Stops And Home’ is absolutely awesome, its got all the summery vibe to it. The highest climber of the week comes from The Automatic with a monster of a track, excuse the pun, with the title ‘Monster’ the band's live signature tune, and another example of their raucous disco-punk, featuring a chorus that's destined to be sung from playgrounds to football terraces, taken from The Automatic's hotly anticipated debut album 'Not Accepted Anywhere' climbing 16 places to No.6. Pink climbs another 6 places to No.8 with ‘Who Knew?’ taken from her latest album release ‘I’m Not Dead’ this radio friendly track upbeat jangly guitar hooks with Pink's trademark gravely rock vocals to create a heart-felt tribute to a friend lost to the perils of drugs. The highest new entry of 8, 'Valerie' is the second single to be lifted from The Zutons' 'Tired Of Hanging Around' album, following 'Why Won't You Give Me Your Love', which became the bands biggest track to date. Hoping to emulate the success of its predecessor, 'Valerie' is a dynamic slice of 60's flavoured indie-pop, in at No.18. With a big clearout to make way for The Kooks, Solu Music feat. Kimblee, Morrissey, Fratellis, Bob Sinclair feat. Steve Edwards, Lily Allen and The Guillemots make up the rest of the new entries inside the top 40 this week. September 2, 200618 yr Author Mikey’s Reload Top 40 Chart: 18th June, 2006 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/9859585.JPGhttp://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/82876842702.JPGhttp://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/BUN106CD.JPGhttp://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/MCSTD40464.JPGhttp://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/EMBRACE.JPG Chart Commentary Nelly remains at No.1 for a second week with ‘Maneater’, her album ‘Loose’ is one of her best albums to date, really quality tracks, one track that really stands out for me has to be ‘Showtime’. The gorgeous and perfectly formed Columbian singer and with a great bootie to boot, Shakira teams up with Wyclef Jean, on her new single ‘Hips Don’t Lie’, climbing a staggering 14 places to No.2, and arguably her most widely accessible release for a long time. The Zutons climb to No.8 with 'Valerie', second single to be lifted from 'Tired Of Hanging Around' album. 'Valerie' is a dynamic slice of 60's flavoured indie-pop that has already proved to be my favourite track of the album. And finally climbing a further 2 places inside the top 10 to No.9 is Dannii Minogue with her new release ‘So Under Pressure’, taken from her forthcoming album, 'The Hits And Beyond'. This track has a real 80's feel to it and the chorus is instantly catchy and I feel its not one of her strongest singles to date, it just feels different from her previous material. The highest new entry of 6, if there is one footie song I like to comment on, it will have to be Sham 69 with the help of the Special Assembly with their England Anthem ‘Hurry Up England (The People’s Anthem)’ in at No.18. This is a football chant to end all chants, and a lot of fans will be singing this one out on the terraces, if England win the World Cup, come on boys do it for us, and yes I’m a big fan of this track, sadly to say, its contagious when it gets in your head. Muse, Editors, All Amercian Rejects, Lostprophets and Liberty X make up the reminder of the new entries inside the top 40 this week. September 2, 200618 yr Author Mikey’s Reload Top 40 Chart: 25th June, 2006 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/9859585.JPGhttp://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/82876842702.JPGhttp://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/DLTCD047.JPGhttp://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/VSCDT1913.JPGhttp://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/BUN106CD.JPG Chart Commentary This week the top 2 tracks remain the same for Nelly and Shakira, with their infectious hits of ‘Maneater’ and ‘Hips Don’t Lie’, Zutons move further up the chart to No.3, with their infectious and decidedly Scouse summer indie track ‘Valerie’ it's a riff-filled slice of '60s flecked, sunroof-open and radio-cranked-up northern funk. The Kooks who are riding high in the album chart with ‘Inside In/Inside Out’, and still selling well, with over 350,000 sales to date, release their new single 'She Moves In Her Own Way', the follow-up to their recent huge hit 'Naïve', which reached No.5 earlier this year in my chart, peaks at No.4. One of the best footie anthems to hit the chart for a long while will have to be ‘Hurry Up England’ recorded by late 70s punk rock band Sham 69, who had such hits as ‘ Harry Up Harry’ ‘Hersham Boys’, actually Hurry Up England is know famous for ‘Hurry Up Harry’ and re-recorded as footie anthem for the World Cup tournament, shame its not the official single, as its one of the best bunch from all the footie anthems out at the moment, sits and resides at No.6. It's been a fair while coming but Muse finally return with, ‘Supermassive Black Hole’ in at No.9, has way more of an electronic edge than anything the trio have produced before, taken from their eagerly anticipated new album 'Black Holes And Revelations'. The highest new entry of 6 comes in at No.13 makes the return of Johnny Borrell, and his Razorlight team with 'In The Morning', a shimmering and anthemic tune. Rogue Traders is the second highest new entry at No.17, with their debut track 'Voodoo Child' is a sexy, raucous club anthem that re-works Elvis Costello's classic riff from his track 'Pump It Up' and features the tantalising husky rock vocals from Neighbours star Natalie Bassingthwaighte. Snow Patrol, Sergio Mendez & The Black Eyed Peas, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Baddiel, Skinner & The Lightning Seeds make up the rest of this week’s new entries inside the top 40. Nelly has to settle for a No.2 position this week, but it could all change next week, Rogue Traders have catapulted to No.4 with the infectious pop rock track ‘Voodoo Child’, a sexy, raucous club anthem that re-works Elvis Costello's classic riff from his track 'Pump It Up' and features the tantalising husky rock vocals from Neighbours star Natalie Bassingthwaighte, turn up the volume this track rawks. Lostprophets which consists of guitarist Mike Lewis, frontman Ian Watkins, Lee Gaze (guitar), Stuart Richardson (bass) and Jamie Oliver (keyboards, programming) formed almost a decade ago in Pontypridd, Wales. Their new single ‘Rooftops (A Liberation Broadcast)’ resides at No.6 taken from their brand new studio album ‘Liberation Transmission’, it’s a welcome return from the band and this track seems to be the best track they have done for a long time, since ‘Last Train Coming’. Razorlight, a band who at the start of their epic career rise to stardom were a welcome breath of fresh air injected into the ever-increasing patchiness of the recent indie scene. 'In The Morning' marks the return of Johnny Borrell, and his Razorlight buddies climbing inside the top 10 at No.8. The biggest dance anthem of the year will have to be, the new track by Cascada ‘Everytime We Touch’ at No.9, has got everything. Its dancey, hookable, infectious, and once you hear it for the very first time, you want to hear it again. The highest new entry of 6, Gnarls Barkley follow the enormous success of their debut single 'Crazy' with 'Smiley Faces', the second single from their acclaimed album 'St. Elsewhere', it’s a catchy tune which will keep you on your toes, in at No.20. The Long Blondes, Fall Out Boy, Justice vs. Simian, Dirty Pretty Things and Til West & DJ Delicious, make up the rest of the new entries in this week’s Top 40. Shakira slips a place to No.2 and a non-mover for The Kooks with ‘She Moves In Her Own Way’ at No.3. Lily Allen climbs a further 4 places to No.8 with ‘Smile’ taken from her eagerly anticipated debut album ‘Alright, Still’. Lily's infectious pop has been causing a stir since she first started posting her tunes on MySpace and attacking manufactured bands like Steps and S Club 7, accusing them of giving pop music a bad name. The highest climber of the week, jumps 20 places inside the top 10 at No.10 for The Fall Out Boy, the rock breakthrough act of 2006 with their brand new track, ‘A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More ‘Touch Me’’ It is the third single from their 250,000+ selling album 'From Under The Cork Tree’. The highest new entry of 6 sees the return of Madonna herself, with her third single ‘Get Together’ taken from her groundbreaking best-selling album ‘Confessions On A Dancefloor’ to date. I don’t why she released this song as a single, I would have preferred either ‘Jump’ or ‘Push’, but still Madonna never disappoints. The Racounteurs, George Michael, Jose Gonzlaez, The Flaming Lips, Supermode, all make up the rest of the new entries inside the top 40 this week. September 2, 200618 yr Author Mikey’s Reload Top 40 Chart: 16th July, 2006 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/VOODOOCDS.JPGhttp://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/VSCDT1913.JPGhttp://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/82876842702.JPGhttp://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/W725T.JPGhttp://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/REG135.JPG Chart Commentary No move at No.1 for a second week for Rogue Traders with ‘Voodoo’ Child featuring the Neighbours star, Natalie Bassingthwaighte. The Kooks swap places with Shakira, and the Queen of Pop Madonna creeps in at No.4 with ‘Get Together’ taken from her multi-selling album “Confessions On A Dance Floorâ€. Also in the top 10 Gnarls Barkley continues its run up the chart with the new single ‘Smiley Faces’ the second single from the world wide web acclaimed album 'St. Elsewhere', which follows the now deleted hit single ‘Crazy’, which has became the biggest selling single of 2006 so far. The Raconteurs continue to climb up the chart, with a jump of 15 places to No.13 with their new single ‘Hands’, and further down the chart ‘Steady As She Goes', is the longest chart runner of 15 weeks, and tipped to be one of my favourite songs of 2006. The highest new entry of 6 comes in at No.16 for the sexy upbeat return of pop's dirrtiest starlet, Christina Aguilera. 'Ain't No Other Man' is a modern take on vintage jazz, soul and blues from the 1920s, '30s and '40s, creating a wildly inventive sound that's gritty and raw, and is taken from her brand new studio album 'Back To Basics'. Red Hot Chili Peppers, Michael Gray, Kasabian, James Morrison and James Dean Bradfield make up the rest of the new entries inside this week’s top 40. September 2, 200618 yr Author Mikey’s Reload Top 40 Chart – 23rd July, 2006 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/VOODOOCDS.JPGhttp://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/VSCDT1913.JPGhttp://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/W725T.JPGhttp://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/WEA410CD1.JPGhttp://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/82876842702.JPG Chart Commentary Rogue Traders remain at No.1 for a 3rd week running, also The Kooks remain static at No.2 for a second week, with ‘She Moves In Her Own Way’, taken from their best selling album ‘Inside In/Inside Out’, one of my favourite albums of the year. 'Hands' is the second single from White Stripes main-man Jack White's side project collaboration with Brendan Benson better known as The Raconteurs climbing to No.6. A radio-friendly slice of power-chord driven Americana lifted from the acclaimed 'Broken Boy Soldiers' album. 'Chasing Cars' is the second single to be taken from Snow Patrol's platinum album 'Eyes Open'. Following the success of first single 'You're All I Have' It's a simplistic love song, instantly pleasing to the ear, and still gets better each time you hear it, climbing to No.7. James Morrison is the latest UK male singer/ songwriter hoping to repeat James Blunt's meteoric rise to fame of last year. The owner of probably the most gobsmacking, charismatic, rootsy soul voice to emerge from a white Englishman, James Morrison releases his debut single, 'You Give Me Something' is a spellbinding, bittersweet, bluesy-soul song about concealing true emotions in the early stages of a relationship, climbs up massively to No.8, which is taken from his forthcoming album 'Undiscovered'. The highest new entry of 6, The Pet Shop Boys return with a second single 'Minimal' in at No.16, from their critically acclaimed album 'Fundamental', which looks set to continue the success of their first single 'I'm With Stupid'. There hasn't been a band like this before and there won't be one like this in the future. They are simply superb. Angels & Airwaves, Franz Ferdinand, Feeder, Hoobastank and Morning Runners make up the rest of the new entries inside this week’s Top 40.
