Posted March 10, 201411 yr I never cared too much for this song on the album "Britney", but recently it's been clicking with me and now I find it one of her most endearing ballads/midtempos. What do you guys think about the song? pJRbJWaHVN0 Edited March 10, 201411 yr by Euphorique
March 10, 201411 yr I used to love it... it was a great bridge for me to adapt to the more urban side of the album. I find the lyrics a lil imature now and prefer "Before The Goodbye".
March 10, 201411 yr Author BTG eclipsed everything on that album for me, with Cinderella being the other highlight. But this one has been creeping its way onto my favs, I actually really like the lyrics too.
March 11, 201411 yr "Before The Goodbye" should have been the second single. "I Run Away" is flawless. Production is a limitless dates, still great though.
March 11, 201411 yr I think it's one of her best ballads/mid-tempos. A highlight on the Britney album along with Before The Goodbye (although both were Bonus tracks, which is unbelievable but plausible in Britneyland).
March 11, 201411 yr Author Yeah Britney is queen of the amazing bonus tracks that somehow dont make the cut. Circus especially being the main offender. I dont understand how BTG went from potential lead single to bonus track... "Let's pretend, that I've moved on, then I'll tell myself, that life goes on, without you" It's just amazing that for someone like Britney, who admittedly doesnt have the best voice, does such amazing ballads. Her voice just suits them so well. Edited March 11, 201411 yr by Euphorique
March 13, 201411 yr It's probably my favorite ballad from Britney (the album), the pre-chorus of the middle 8 is stunningly produced. And its just the type of ballad that really suited her voice (at the time). Britney is just generally an incredible album. :D
March 14, 201411 yr Britney's voice may not be strong... But, it showcases emotion perfectly. A talent a lot harder to come by then one would think.
