Duke Dumont will hold on, once the teenage girls have put their daddy's credit card down that 5 Seconds of shite song will fall from #1 whilst Duke Dumont will go from strength to strength.

Normally newly released songs that get to #1 on iTunes build up a big lead almost straight away but this one hasn't which means that it wont be #1 for very long at all.

:yahoo:

That made me laugh!!

I'm just hoping their sales will be heavily front loaded and they will be in rapid decline from tomorrow onwards! If Duke can beat Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead I'm hopeful he can do it all over again

Though I'm resigning myself to the fact he probably won't and will drop to 2 :(

I agree 5SOS is probably a lot more front-loaded than Tsunami, which even though it fell from number 1, stayed stong at number 2 for the rest of the week. If 5SOS fall, it'll probably be 3/4/5 places. Though they have probably built up a much stronger lead with fans buying multiple versions, so you never know.
The difference though is that the majority of her other videos were released AFTER the single had been on radio and was well-known within the GP and not BEFORE. The song was only confirmed as a single on Thursday last week. It's yet to be added to TV channels and its "release date" is only in May BYE

And? Getting top 100 on itunes is what selling a 100 copies, if the video is having so little impact what makes you think airplay or TV airplay will be different?

149. Lady Gaga - G.U.Y.

Not having as big an effect as I thought it would. But I guess it should pick up with TV and radio airplay!

That song is not going to be a hit and it was never going to be, and it's a poor single choice. It's as simple as that.

The video is probably her best since 'Telephone' though.

5SOS might be more frontloaded, but they've built up a bigger lead than Tsunami did, on the highest sales day of the week also. I mean, Zedd didn't even make #1 on iTunes yet was #1 in the mids right until Friday, and only got knocked off by Clean Bandit between then and Sunday.

Message to Buzzjack: Buy 5SOS.

It will be fabulous to see all of your reactions when it goes to #1 x

I'd rather not see 5SOS #1, but it wouldn't be the worst #1 of the year (that goes to Sam Smith, so far).

Although I'm not exactly keen on 'Tsunami' and this 5SOS thing either, the rest have been good.

More & more often nowadays, that counts as damning with faint praise...

However, DD seem to have closed up 5% in just over an hour...

72. Kirk Norcoss- Ain't No Sunshine

What has possessed someone to buy this? Seriously?

I haven't heard the Cover yet but I remember him singing when he was on TOWIE and he actually has a decent voice surprisingly.

That's more due to the song itself increasing, 5SOS are in white on Kworb so aren't decreasing right now. Even if Duke overtakes, they still built up a VERY strong lead yesterday, plus the other factors boosting it.

I'm guessing 5SOS are another boy band, haven't heard the song, all these boy bands coming out of the woodwork since 1d came along and none of them will survive more then a year or two
I reckon 5 Seconds of Summer will keep the lead until Friday's midweeks but could be as low as 4/5 on Sunday when the weekend effect takes hold of Duke and Route. They're already dark red, Duke is about to overtake.
No way will they be as low as #4 or #5. If Can We Dance managed to keep #2 despite not being higher than #4 on iTunes all week, plus with all its multiple versions, this will surely do better?
Duke Dumont gained 10 percent points in the last three hours on 5SOS... If he is going to end up outselling 5SOS 2:1 by the end of the week (which is very possible) he could still have the #1.

Dukes sales will be around 80k this week so i can see it being close. I said 5 Secs of Summer will sell around 90k.

This years no 1s are tailing off now though loads of non no 1s like Tsumami starting to take over!!

The top version of 5SOS is only 0.94 of Duke now, so he could re-overtake tonight. If they keep falling at this rate, they might miss number 1, but I'd imagine the initial lead will be too big.

Changes is almost 3rd combined  Hopefully this holds up and becomes a steady seller.
