How will her new album do?

Her first album 'Lovestrong' peaked at #9, and has sold ~255k so far.

I really want it to smash at #1  but realistically I see it being #6 or #7 with around 13k maybe?

I was thinking she could get to #1 as well since many will recognise her name from 'A Thousand Years' and 'Jar of Hearts'. I'm sure she'll be the highest new entry and debut within the Top 5 at least.

Based on iTunes pre-orders the most likely #1 contender of this week's album releases is actually Kaiser Chiefs - would be quite !!! after their last album bombed so hard but I suppose it's not too unbelievable given their The Voice related return to semi-prominence. Failing that Sam Bailey might actually remain at #1 or George Michael could climb back up. (Also bearing in mind iTunes pre-orders indicated Wilko Johnson/Roger Daltrey would be today's highest new entry, perhaps Christina shouldn't be totally ruled out, but I'd be surprised if she was #1, I'd predict #6-10).

definitely a contender for #1 i'd say, her last album did pretty well did it not? (as well as the recognition she now has from A Thousand Years & Human) plus as vidcapper says, her type of music will appeal to the album-buying demographic. don't know how well Sam Bailey's sales will hold up but i'm suspecting it'll be a Sam/Christina top 2 next week either way

and Kaiser Chiefs coming for a top 10 album despite next to no radio support? (The Voice does help a fair bit i guess) Not so sure, but it may be possible

Kaiser Chiefs' album is nearly top 40 on iTunes, I think top 5 is more or less guaranteed.
iTunes just updated, Kaiser Chiefs #1; Christina Perri #3.

I suspect Perri will generate a higher proportion of physical sales, though.

I'm gonna say top 3, #1 is not out of the question.

I think this could be a pretty big era for her actually, I can see further singles like 'I Don't Wanna Break' really bolstering the sales in the longrun.

She will sail past a million sales if she releases Sea Of Lovers as a single :smoke:

Top three, with sales just shy of 20k, but I can't see her outselling Sam Bailey or George Michael this week.
Going out to buy this tomorrow, how good is it? :P
