This debut single saw Will coming back with something a bit different. Switch it On with it's homoerotic video certainly seemed to divide fans. Though sales weren't huge it did it's job being the only Will single to be A listed by radio 1. Edited April 2, 201411 yr by truly talented

April 2, 201411 yr Loved the video. Still not keen on the song. I thought the video was wonderful, they spent a fortune didn't they?! I have to be in the right mood for the song, but I think it's been a good opener for live shows in the past. (Find Grace the same)
April 3, 201411 yr Do you remember when he sang it on CDUK (see link below) using the new toy, which sounded like a megaphone? I'm relieved he gave up on using that and took to playing a tambourine instead. :D Fantastic song with an amazing video, which I never tire of watching - so incredibly clever and quite brave. Performance on CDUK:
April 3, 201411 yr Author Great performance Elaine and lovely little interview at the beginning. Wonder if he's still in touch with Charlotte Church. Didn't he party on a boat with her and sing karaoke at her parent's pub? Much prefer the song preformed live, a bit of a crowd pleaser at outdoor gigs. I find the words very poignant, now we know what a bad time this was for Will. Another classic video from Will, though I believe he's said since he wished he'd gone with another idea. ndMk5chmNho
April 3, 201411 yr I absolutely love this song. At the time it was so different to his previous work - well that's what I think, and the video is one of his best, if not the best. He sang this at the Diana Concert. Think there was some sort of furore at the time, as his set was cut short right at the last moment. If I remember right nobody elses' sets were cut short, only Will's. :arrr:
April 3, 201411 yr Author Yes his set seemed to be cut. Probably thought he only needed the one song to impress. :P I remember him being interviewed before his performance saying he'd been out in the crowd watching his boyfriend's friend dance. He looked so loveable in his cerise pink top. VsdnpE59meI Edited April 3, 201411 yr by truly talented
April 3, 201411 yr Author Came across this on youtube. Loving the dance moves Will. :w00t: vMI62ftYHGA

Her parents run a B&B, they were on the Channel 4 'Four in a Bed' series a few years ago. Not sure if they owned a pub, maybe the B&B was in one, I can't remember. I do know they didn't come across very well in the competition. The karaoke was definitely in one of her relations pubs. I will try to remember to look for the photo. Do you remember Will doing a Royal Variety Performance (ATL) where they kept him waiting in a corridor for hours? He was with Charlotte then, I hope they kept in touch. Thank you for all the wonderful video clips and memories. I enjoy these threads. Can I ask where Suggy is? I do hope she is all right.
April 3, 201411 yr Author She's fine Elaine. She pm'd me a while back saying she was giving up the Internet for Lent so she should be back with us very soon. Thanks for the info re Charlotte. Think I can vaguely remember him being at the RVP performance with her. Your memory is a lot better than mine. :)

April 4, 201411 yr All Time Love at the Royal Variety Performance in 2005, where do the years go! Doesn't he look absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for responding about Chrissy, pleased to hear she is all right. Edited April 4, 201411 yr by Elaine
April 4, 201411 yr Author Thanks Elaine. That's my favourite Will ballad. Will certainly knows how to use a camera to great effect. His gorgeous eyes are accentuated with all the eye liner.
April 5, 201411 yr Love the song and the video is just brilliant  Will was so brave to release SIO as lead single. He said he had to fight for it and it was quite obvious that the record label wanted to go with ATL. Fans were divided but I'm sure it brought Will some new fans. He looks totally gorgeous in the video

He looks totally gorgeous in the video  I also wonder if the mixed reaction scared the label and led to the release of two 'safe' ballads. Keep On is Will's most experimental album and vies for my favourite with Echoes. Although I love ATL I don't see it or WAI as being representative of the album.
