Forever is Over and all the OYR singles = favourite singles selections. Regardless of it saving the album, I don't get the hype, it's overrated and there were FAR better songs on that album!

 

I hope they get a second single from GH because I really want to see a Christmas/winter ballad as we haven't had a ballad in three years nearly :huh: :(

Chasing Lights is perfection to me and what The Saturdays ideally should still be doing today (thankfully Disco Love and Not Giving Up are more like progressions from the sound of that album).

Do radios and the general public want a ballad from the girls or do they like them for their good old big amazing pop uptempo stompers? :thinking: It's hard to say because they have released two ballads only. One that was a hit and another one that flopped. So we can't say releasing a ballad won't work (or if it will, for that matter) and maybe that's why they don't bother. They have more chance of a hit with uptempos.

I kind of think of Missing You as a ballad too..maybe a mid tempo power ballad? I dunno.

Issues was released at a very different time. If they released it now, I can't see it doing particularly well, as much as I like it. I don't think Neon Jungle's ballad will do very well and Girl's Aloud's BCYLM wasn't very popular even though it wasn't released properly in the end. I personally think ballads are a lot more of a risk.

And recently their risks haven't paid off that well, so I'd feel better with a gold old typical Sats uptempo.

That might be a nice second single choice actually. They need another ballad-y type hit, since they've only got Issues.

I am enjoying how the website refers to them going to record their fifth studio album after this is released. Meaning Headlines as I've said before isn't a "studio" album and falls into the same area as Hilary Duff's Most Wanted, as a we were recording an album but had these songs we wanted to release now, so here is some new songs and some old ones.

There's no consistency with this, fairly sure they confirmed that Living For The Weekend was album 5 during the promotion for that era... :angry:

Boxset edition with the main hits CD and a second CD with all their b-sides (amazing!!) and music videos confirmed! :D

 

We can also vote for our own favourite/ultimate Sats song (out of their entire discography) by hashtagging #SatsGreatestHit on Twitter and Facebook and they'll pick the most voted song on Monday to be placed on an audio lanyard or something.
