I saw that as well,BT. When Darius was trying to get Karl (among others) for the group James Blunt released a successful album and Karl was in America. Karl played drums on some of the album tracks for Darius

I'm afraid that the 3rd album is what it is. There definitely must be some big band influence because Stuart drafted in the Hot City Horns for some songs. I just hope there's some real Darius in there too, something upbeat or a ballad or two like the b sides.

I'd prefer him to tour with a group perhaps augmented with a couple of brass players. Wouldn't it be great if Karl and Spence could join him.

Darius has a great speaking voice. I'm surprised he hasn't been asked to do narration or voiceover work b

efore.

When i read on the fan forum page that some1 was talking to D and he mentioned the album and a tour in brackets it did say pop music so maybe its manly that. I agree i hope D has stayed true to himself and that he hasn't put any big band covers on the album like the 1 he sang on the big band tour otherwise why did he turn down Simon Cowells's offer. I dont mind the big band type songs that he sang that r the 1s he's written himself. I just dont want him to b singing other peoples songs coz HE said thats not his style

I'm glad he's not done too many covers bar the big band stuff for the tour , each song being researched and played and sung exactly as per the original manuscripts.

I find that when Darius covers something, it leaves me dissatisfied with other versions I might have liked a lot before I heard him sing it.

The latest example is Falling Slowly. I was on youtube playing some of the FHTE songs and falling slowly came up on the options from the London musical. That led to the original writers' version, the film one and a couple of others. Good though they were, I just wasn't similarly moved by any of them.

I love Darius' version of 'Falling Slowly' One lad complained it wasn't as good as the film version. Well, live and great compares very, very well to an studio recording and multiple takes any day
It is an odd thing, I actually love hearing Darius cover songs - as time goes by I find every song I have heard him sing remains in my memory so if I hear another version anywhere..I can only hear Darius singing it in my mind, have to say I do prefer Darius singing anything :) Even down to preferring him to Nat King Cole et all - that is how much his voice moves me. There are so many songs I hear and think..Darius could really sing this so well

There are for me as well pip. I like how the person comes through when he'a also written the song - ones like 'Don't Forget To Breathe' and 'No More' probably would never make the album b ut they are among my favourites because you can feel how it effects him. I'd like an album of his un polished work
Dont get me wrong i love whatever D does. I just prefer it when hes singing its his own material. Thats what makes him different. Thats what made me like him in the first place coz he wasnt like other people who came from pop idol and popstars. He broke away from all that and did his own thing.

From Here To Eternity, the hit West End musical which sadly closed on 29 March, may reemerge in another form. It seems it is not yet over for Tim Rice’s latest musical venture: ahead of its 2015 Broadway run, a screening of the West End’s production of From Here To Eternity will be broadcast in theatres around the US. Entertainment companies Omniverse Vision and Fathom Events are collaborating to capture the musical, following in the footsteps of shows such as War Horse and Noël Coward’s Private Lives which have been screened previously.

It is fantastic that the magnificent tale of the futile waiting for the American army ahead of the attacks on Peal Harbour in 1941. With Fathom and Omniverse collaborating to capture the ambitious musical version of the iconic story, it means the production and Stuart Brayson’s score will receive the permanent recognition they deserve.

From Here To Eternity is based on James Jones’ award-winning novel about those US soldiers and their illicit affairs during the Second World War. The 1953 film adaptation, which starred Frank Sinatra, won eight Oscars including Best Picture. The West End musical version stars Darius Campbell (previously Danesh) in the lead role alongside Robert Lonsdale.

Despite many rave reviews and popularity on social media, the musical and company suffered falling ticket sales and the close was seemingly inevitable.

I can't let you go without asking about From Here To Eternity. After six months of what I imagine must have been quite an emotionally draining process, is a break necessary - and what's next for you?

The nature of being an actor means quite often you don't know where life will take you. From Here To Eternity was a wonderful, exciting job but it's a slight relief not to put myself through the emotional highs and tears on a nightly basis, but I miss it and everyone! But you'll be able to see it in the cinema accompanied by the soundtrack release!

Have been to Cineworld in Bolton today and they don't know anything about this. They have given me a list of live events and special screenings and it's not on there. She also said it is very unusual for anything extra to be added at this stage. I don't know what to think? Sue

On the site, there is a button for you to notify them that you want it. We don't seem to have any of that group of cinemas

Atm the closest cinema to me is 20 miles away in Braintree - I have been there before with my step-daughter so if need be I will probably go there! It seems some Odeon cinemas are showing it but the one in Southend isn't listed. I have registered to show my interest and given my postcode so hopefully more cinemas in my area may be included.

Originally they said it was exclusive to one cinema group - I'd love it to be more. I'm hoping after the 3rd it may be but that would be just too good to happen
