July 3, 20159 yr Interesting tweet from Tim Rice. Sir Tim Rice @SirTimRice Jun 29 FH2 Eternity will be playing out of town in US next summer and we'll see where we go from there. More info when deal done. It seems theyve already had a read though and a workshop with a new cast. I think if D was involved we'd know by now but i thought it was worth posting anyway Edited July 3, 20159 yr by polly
December 2, 20159 yr He'll still be in Funny Girl and I can't imagine how they'd get away with virtually unknown Brits in the lead when there are plenty of Americans who can do it. However now we know what Darius did off-stage I.e. film producing, maybe we should use this thread for info about that. Imperium wrapped on October 24th so is now post-production. It's due out in 2016.
December 2, 20159 yr Author All we need is for him to release some information that he's willing for us to use
December 2, 20159 yr Any time Darius is credited for production,, that section should be updated on his IMDB page.
January 7, 20169 yr Current release date for Imperium is 16th September and the first poster has appeared. http://dan-radcliffe.co.uk/2015/12/first-p...r-for-imperium/
January 7, 20169 yr Author It'd be interesting to see how changed 'From Here To Eternity' is in the US production. Even the book for the musical has been changed. “From Here to Eternity” (Bill Oakes and Donald Rice, book; Tim Rice, lyrics; Stuart Brayson, music; Brett Smock, dir/choreo.; Corinne Aquilina, musical dir. Rehearsals begin Jun. 16; The tour is being cast now for America
January 7, 20169 yr I'd think they'd have to cut down on the profanities in the US. I wouldn't be surprised if Darius had the record for most for a lead in a West End or Broadway musical.
January 7, 20169 yr Author Well, whether they'd consider a UK person for the role he's not available for the tour as he's still in 'Funny Girl'. I'd love to see this version of 'From Here To Eternity' though. I wonder how much the alterations to the book change
