By that time, yes I agree. However i'm not saying miming is acceptable but do hold in mind this was Frankie's first lot of promo (we will pass over strictly as that wasn't really a return/promo) so it's sort of understandable. *queue Rochelle/Una comparisons*

How is a first lot of promo an excuse for miming?

They had rehearsals obviously so she had enough time to prepare for it

That regardless, shes still had issues the last few years with her confidence/performing given going through depression etc, which she is obviously still just overcoming. I don't get why everyone persists on ripping into Frankie when we know her circumstances? Besides it's not like she mimes in EVERY performance and again, her part in Not Giving Up is minimal (despite it being the best part in my opinion).

 

EDIT: And still the point remains, 90% of people in the fanbase would have moaned had she sung live and it been dreadful so it doesn't make a difference retrospectively.

I know it does not go right away, but its been over 3 years and as for her first promo she had Parker in October/November which has given her 5/6 months to prepare for it. For someone who has been performing since she was 11, she should be way over Rochelle's live standard...

 

That being said, her and Mollie always do some fantastic vocals on the tour - ala Wish I Didn't Know and Work

I'm not getting into a debate over Frankie or Rochelle here but Rochelle is inferior ;)

 

Frankie is the real quen, she even farted on her peasant rochelle.

 

It's always fascinated me how their live performances have gotten worse over time. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around?

Miming doesn't mean they

can't

sing the mimed parts.

 

Mollie mimed her intro in Notorious half of the time and sing it live the other half. She mimed most (all?) the performances of Disco Love on TV/gigs, yet she sounded great on every single acoustic performances they have done. She didn't even looked nervous or anything singing them. Same for 'What About Us', the difference is that she did sing that one live during gigs.

 

So they mime sometimes for a reason that is still obscure to me (because sometimes they won't and sometimes they will. :unsure: )
