Wouldn't mind getting a few Elvis albums, just wondering which ones are the best to buy first etc?

Hi LG and welcome to the Elvis forum It's great that you'd like to get hold of some Elvis albums and I'll do my best to help. Not sure how much of Elvis' music you know and what type you prefer, but I reckon a good start would be Hitstory which is a 3CD set of Elvis' hits or Elvis By The Presleys(I came across this in MusicZone yesterday, for £5.97 ;) )

 

Another of my faves is The Memphis 1969 Anthology - Suspicious Minds which has some great alternate takes of some of his biggest hits from '69.

 

Also Elvis Presley - The Live Greatest Hits, Elvis Presley - NBC TV Special (the Comeback Special DVD is fantastic and the new single disc one is only £9.97 at Woolworths :D ) or Elvis Is Back(the first album he recorded on his return from the army)

 

There's so many to choose from but HMV have loads at the moment and I noticed theres some great prices if you order from their website http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/simpleSearch.d...bmitSearch.y=12

MusicZone also sell them cheaper than a lot of other music shops although they don't have as wide a selection.

 

I mentioned the '68 Comeback DVD, but if you can get hold of That's The Way It Is Special Edition DVD or Aloha From Hawaii DVD, you'll see why we love him
