May 5, 201411 yr Author The jury rehearsal has just taken place, according to ESC Xtra everyone's vocals ranged from solid to excellent. They mentioned Russia, Belgium, Moldova and Hungary who had a few missed notes or whatever but there was nothing dreadful by the sounds of it! Remember that tomorrow we should find out which half the finalists will be performing in!
May 5, 201411 yr Author I've convinced myself that she will! The UK press conference is the second one after Germany so whatever happens, there will be at least 1 second half envelope left when Molly makes her draw.
May 5, 201411 yr It's silly that they insist on making it 3 in each half rather than having all 13 first half and 12 second half slots.
May 5, 201411 yr I don't see why they need to pick halves in the first place? Just random draw the host country and then sort everyone else out around that. I like that they decide the running order as it should in theory stop the start being a bland dull fest (hai 2011). But say for example there are 9 ballads in the final 26. And all 9 of those countries pick first half. I know it's unlikely to happen but it could and that's why I don't see the need to pick halves.
May 5, 201411 yr Author I'm glad that they do pick halves as otherwise it just leaves it too open for the producers to manipulate, I do like at least some element of luck to determine where they start in the running order.
May 5, 201411 yr Well I don't think the producers would maliciously manipulate the running order, especially in Denmark. The EBU have the final say on it anyway so if there'd been some foul play they'd stop it.
May 5, 201411 yr So molly picks her half tomorrow? I just know that we are going to get lumbered with a crap first half slot and all the other favourites will get second!
May 5, 201411 yr Author Even if the UK draw first half, I think it'd be likely the producers give Molly 10th, 11th, 12th or 13th as last year the 3 biggest favourites in the first half were in those later positions (Russia 10th, Germany 11th and the Netherlands 13th). Also, the UK is one of the biggest markets in terms of viewers so they will want the UK to be as late as possible for that reason too I think.
May 5, 201411 yr Author There was an issue with the lighting for Sweden's jury performance and apparently the Swedish delegation aren't very happy. It's not a major issue though from the look of this video below: E0yK9i2yEvI

May 6, 201411 yr Molly about to do her second rehearsal! So exciting! I hope this can finally shake up the odds and make sanna and Aram lose some ground!
May 9, 201411 yr Author News from today's first dress rehearsal is that Denmark's banner that had a big picture of Basim on it has been changed to just show the word 'Love' on its own and Molly had a great rehearsal although ESC Xtra believe she may be on 'a little bit to late to contend [for the victory]'.
May 9, 201411 yr ^ if she is amazing at the end I think she'll be fine. People have won in the final slot before and will be watching to get the phone numbers to vote - maybe eurovision fans can be a little over the top with statistics without taking in to account quality of songs that have performed last previously.
May 9, 201411 yr Plus I doubt juries will lose concentration as they are their doing a job so surely she will be very high if not win the jury vote.

People haven't won in the final slot since televoting began though. We'll see.
May 9, 201411 yr Author There hasn't been a favourite in the final slot for as long as I can remember. Denmark ('In A Moment Like This') is probably the biggest favourite that has performed last in recent years and that finished 3rd in the televote after only coming 4th in its semi final televote. So I think it is going to be beneficial for the UK and there is definitely more advantages than disadvantages.
