So to the singles released from album 4, starting with Changes. I remember how excited we all were when a snippet of this was played at the Brits months before. Bit like now, we'd endured a lengthy break between albums and everyone was desperate for new music. It was another top 10 for Will but probably would have charted higher if the downloads and physicals hadn't been split. Still I was a bit disappointed with it's chart run and cumulative sales as it topped the chart on airplay. I often wonder if this affected Will's future airplay.

A mid tempo release as they say and it was received so well with another very good video accompanying it. As you say TT the airplay was great, I always wondered whether it was seen as hugely popular due to fans ringing up or texting for it to be played as the single sales weren't huge. It was a silly mistake of the record company to split the release of the download and the physicals and definitely affected the chart position. Still I suppose they were new to it at the time and probably weren't sure about fans interest in downloading then.

 

I remember the excitement at the time about Will's return. :cheer:

 

And this song kicked off a host of promotion and of course dropped just before Let It Go came out, so a lot to be grateful for here!

Personally I think they released it to radio far too early and that this also had a bearing on it's chart position.

 

Love the track but not one of my favourite videos.

Yes TT i loved it from hearing it when it was played in the background of the Brits :D

My hub likes it too and sings along. He always mentions it when I ask which Will song he likes the best. Also one of my friends who is a mild Will fan loves it. :D

Yes I love Changes and the video. I remember my son and granddaughter singing along to it in the car :D they loved it. :heart:

Only problem with the song is that it didn't have an ending. Always seemed strange to me at the end :)

I'm sure there was a lot of stuff behind the scenes at the record company in that period. Can you remember the album tasters going out with Wills handwriting changing the title of the album from Let Go to Let It Go? There must be a story behind that!

Just had a listen, I'm not familiar with it. Nice, I would live Will to do a fast tempo like that.
