May 3, 201411 yr No.17 Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore Average Score : 7.72 Highest Voter : 11 (Insomnio) Lowest Voter : 4 (Cameron) This is my favorite song of all time from Celine!!! It was my first crush on her.. It was a big radio hit in my country and i listened to it almost everywhere (radio, tv, cafeterias, cars!). It's also my favourite french song of all time and i really love the official video too (So iconic!). It was directed by Michel Meyer and i think that he did a great video for Celine (playing with voodoo dolls for having her love back in her life, walking through the streets without shoes on, the colour of the video is simply amazing etc). "Pour que tu m'aimes encore" was the first hit single from album D'eux by Céline Dion! It was written and produced by Jean-Jacques Goldman and became one of Céline Dion's signature songs (I can't believe that it's so low in this rate!). Celine and Jean-Jacques Goldman collaborated many times in the past. The meaning of the song is about a woman who is emotionally dependent on a partner that has left her for another and they culminate in a desperate plea itering that she would turn herself into gold so that he will love her again. "Pour que tu m'aimes encore" became a smash hit in France, where it topped the singles chart for 12 weeks, sold 955,000 copies (platinum award), and became 1995's best-selling single!!! It spent 15 weeks at the top in Belgium Wallonia!! It also reached top 10 in the United Kingdom and Ireland, which was an exceptional achievement for a French song. It charted at No.3 in the Netherlands and Sweden. According to Virgin17, the single has sold more than 4,000,000 copies, worldwide. Her best song by 4,545,234,267 miles Edited May 3, 201411 yr by AnthonyT
May 3, 201411 yr Author No.14 Where Does My Heart Beat Now Average Score : 8.00 Highest Voter : 10 (Lukuzz, Aphrodite and Piano) Lowest Voter : 6 (Aaliyah4Eva & Sarah) Three voters were totally generous to this song. "Where Does My Heart Beat Now" was the third single from her debut album "Unison". It was writen by Robert White Johnson & Taylor Rhodes and it was produced by Christopher Neil. The latter is responsible for many U.k Top 10 hits in 70's and 80's. (Dollar - Love's Gotta Hold on Me, Sheena Easton - Modern Girl & 9 to 5 / Morning Train, Mike + The Mechanics - The Living Years etc.). "Where Does My Heart Beat Now" was her first hit in Billboard!! It charted at No.4 and Celine Dion enjoyed her success there! However, it was a moderate hit outside America. It was only successful in Norway (it peaked at No.4). Nevertheless, it was a Top 20 hit in Ireland and France (#13, #20 respectively), a Top 30 hit in Belgium and the Netherlands (#21, #24 respectively) and a Top 40 hit in New Zealand (#32). It never managed to be a Top 40 hit in U.k..It peaked at No.81 in 1991. But their label decided to re-release this song and it reached at No.72 two years later (No big deal). "Unison" is not one the best albums in her career but "Where Does My Heart Beat Now" is a gem in her discography. Chorus : Where does my heart beat now Where is the sound That only echoes through the night Where does my heart beat now I can't live without Without feeling it inside Where do all the lonely hearts go K8CWT9xdRT8
May 3, 201411 yr Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore has grown on me since I did the rate, I regret giving it a 4 :(
May 3, 201411 yr Where Does My Heart Beat Now seems a bit too low. If You Asked Me To should certainly be higher I think. Other than that, great so far! The top 10 should turn out pretty nice.

May 4, 201411 yr Author I'd update it to 9.5 after listening to it all weekend :D I wish i could change the average score but "rules are rules". The good news is that you appreciate one of her best songs.
May 9, 201411 yr Author No.13 Falling Into You Average Score : 8.00 Highest Voter : 11 (Aaliyah4Eva) Lowest Voter : 5 (Pippa) "Falling Into You" had the same average score with "Where Does My Hear Beat Now" but the former received 11 from one member when the latter had only 10's..I believe that "Falling Into You" is her most romantic song! However, it was not an original song for her. Marie-Claire D'Ubaldo released this song in 1994 and it was her biggest hit! But I feel that Celine's version is better than the original performance. It has also a great video based on her videography. The direction is amazing and the colours make a beautiful atmosphere. I totally love this song and I had a very beautiful moment with it in the past :kink:. It was released as the first single in Europe and Australia! It was a No.1 hit in Spain and Greece! I remember that music channels played it many times that year and it was a massive radio hit in my country (very rare for a ballad)! It was a Top 10 hit in Norway and U.k! It was also a Top 20 hit in some European countries as Belgium, Denmark, France, Ireland, Italy and Switzerland. Celine Dion said that she was not satisfied with the first recording they made with "Falling Into You but she believes that it was one of the thrillest songs on the album "Falling into You". And she loves the lyrics too! Chrous : I'm falling into you This dream could come true And it feels so good falling into you 14zaf0onvcE Edited May 9, 201411 yr by Insomnio
May 9, 201411 yr Author No.12 I'm Alive Average Score : 8.38 Highest Voter : 11 (Aphrodite) Lowest Voter : 5 (Piano) This is one her best uptempo songs and it's one of the best songs in 2002!!! It has very nice rhythm!! Celine should have more songs like this in her discography..It was released as the second single from her sixth English-language album "A New Day Has Come". It was also featured in the film Stuart Little 2 but i think that she totally wasted for a movie with a mouse.. The song was written and produced by Kristian Lundin and Andreas Carlsson. They are responsible for many pop hits such as "Born To Make You Happy", "I Want It That Way", "Bye Bye Bye", "That's The Way It Is" etc. The music video was directed by Dave Meyers and there are two versions : with or without the mouse. It was a worldwide hit but it seems that European countries totally love it. It was a Top 10 hit in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Romania, Sweden and Switzerland. But it didn't manage to be a Top 10 hit in U.k (#17). <_< Her live performance of the song is really great!! Chorus 1 : When you call on me When I hear you breathe I get wings to fly I feel that I'm alive Chorus 2 : When you bless the day I just drift away All my worries die I'm glad that I'm alive JIDqBlBOLdg Edited May 9, 201411 yr by Insomnio
May 10, 201411 yr Author No.11 I Drove All Night Average Score : 8.50 Highest Score : 10 (Aphrodite & Rosco & Pippa, Vibe & Insomnio) Lowest Voter : 5 (Slowdown) One Word = Adorable!!! This is her best uptempo song to date !!! Her vocals are flawless to this song!! I used to listen to it every day (all day). That was my perfect dug and it always made my mood. It was the first single from her tenth English studio album "One Heart". Celine was the fourth act who covered this beautiful song. The song was originally intended for Roy Orbison, who recorded it in 1987, but his rendition was not released until 1992, after Lauper's version of it had become a top 10 hit on both sides of the Atlantic in 1989. Country music band Pinmonkey released their cover in 2002. Celine's version was one of the biggest radio hits in my country that year!!! Radio producers totally love it and they totally smashed it. I still listen to it in the clubs and the reaction of the crowd is always positive. "I Drove All Night" was a big hit in her country (No.1 for 5 weeks!) and it was a No.1 hit in Sweden!! It was also a Top 10 hit in Denmark, Greece and Portugal and it was a Top 20 hit in Austria, Finland, Italy, Norway, Spain and Switzerland. It wasn't successful in U.k (#27) because she didn't promote it there. If Celine made a tour that year, "I Drove All Night" would be one of her most succesful singles but she decided to stay in Las Vegas (A bad decision in my opinion). The videoclip is also quite bad and it's her most disappointing. Where are the cars..? It would be awesome (and the most obvious), if Celine drove a car for finding her lover in a dark and stormy night. I think that this concept would help her song more than this uninspiring and simple video. Chorus : I drove all night to get to you Is that alright I drove all night Crept in your room Woke you from your sleep To make love to you Is that alright I drove all night X6kLgSPGWuM
May 10, 201411 yr Surprised to see 'Immortality' as low as that, stunning song. :( I'm fairly pleased to see 'Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore' as high as 17th, it seems underrated and I was fearing it could come last. It's undoubtedly within my Top 5 Celine singles.
May 14, 201411 yr Author No.10 Loved Me Back To Life Average Score : 8.59 Highest Voter : 11 (Sarah) Lowest Voter : 6 (Vibe) "Loved Me Back To Life" managed to be in the Top 10!!! I wouldn't expect it to be so high in this rate because i thought that the voters/members would be associated with her first songs/albums. So, it seems that the majority of the voters really like her latest work (It had many 9's and 10's). "Loved Me Back To Life" was her first single from her eleventh English-language album of the same name. The song was co-written by Sia Furler, Hasham "Sham" Hussain and Denarius "Motesart" Motes, and produced by Sham and Motesart. It's not the typical ballad from Celine but it sounds great!!! Celine promoted this song in Canada, U.S.A and Europe although it's not one of her biggest hits. I think that the main problem was the fact that Celine hasn't a professional video for this song. The official live music video didn't have a major impact on viewers. This song should have a very dark video about death and loss..It needed something ambient based on the lyrics but her management team decided to squander it with a live version (amateurs..?). It was only a Top 20 hit in U.k and South Korea. It was also a Top 30 hit in Belgium, Canada, Ireland and Switzerland. However, her album sales were great! It was certified Platinum in the UK which it's quite difficult to happen in these days. It was a Top 10 album in many countries and it was also certified Gold in Belgium, Switzerland, Poland, Hungary and South Africa. I wish she had released an official video for this but it's too late.. Chorus : You loved me back to life, life From the coma. The wait is over. You loved me back to life, life From the coma. We lovers again tonight. 1pK2PMckYSc Edited May 14, 201411 yr by Insomnio
May 14, 201411 yr Author No.9 Think Twice Average Score : 8.67 Highest Voter : 11 (Lukuzz, Pippa & Vibe) Lowest Voter : 5 (Cameron) I think that "Think Twice" is one of her greatest songs!! It was released as the fourth single from her third English-language album "The Colour Of My Love". It was written by British songwriters Andy Hill, who had achieved success a decade earlier for his work with Bucks Fizz (Making Your Mind Up, The Land Of Believe), and Peter Sinfield, a former member of rock group King Crimson. It was produced by Christopher Neil and Aldo Nova. The latter has also collaborated with Faith Hill, Jon Bon Jovi and Agnes Carlsson. "Think Twice" is rock-influenced and features a guitar solo which I always find it great!! It failed to be successful in Billboard but it was a massive hit in Europe!! It remains Dion's second-biggest hit in the UK, eclipsed only by "My Heart Will Go On! It was No.1 for seven weeks and it has sold more than 1.300.000 copies there!!! It was also a No.hit in Belgium (Flanders Chart), Denmark, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway and Sweden! It's one of her most successful songs in Australiia (#2)! "Think Twice" received an Ivor Novello Award for the Song of the Year in 1995! Chorus : Don't say what you're about to say Look back before you leave my life Be sure before you close that door Before you roll those dice Baby think twice 0dIyHwz89Oc Edited May 14, 201411 yr by Insomnio
May 19, 201411 yr Author No.8 Because You Loved Me Average Score : 8.71 Highest Voter : 10 (Lukuzz, Jay, Acidburn, Insomnio & Sarah) Lowest Voter : 7 (Cameron & Aaliyah4Eva) I think that "Because You Loved Me" is one of her well-written songs!!! Dianne Warren wrote this amazing down-tempo pop ballad!! David Foster was the producer. "Because You Loved Me" was her second single from her album "Falling Into You". It was also the theme song from the 1996 film Up Close & Personal. It's one of her most successful songs worldwide. It became her second single to top the Billboard Hot 100! It was No.1 for 6 weeks!! It was a No.1 in Australia (3 weeks) and Canada (1 week). It reached at No.2 in Ireland, number 3 in New Zealand and Switzerland, number 4 in the Netherlands, number 5 in the United Kingdom and Belgium. It was also a Top 10 hit in Denmark (#8). It is certified platinum in the US. It was also certified 2x platinum in Australia (140,000), platinum in New Zealand (10,000), gold in Germany (250,000) and gold in the United Kingdom. It's her 3rd biggest selling UK single with more than 467,000 sales!!! It was nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award, as well as four Grammy Awards. It won a Grammy Award for Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media (award went to Diane Warren), and was nominated for the Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance!!! How could someone hate this song...??? That's why the lowest vote was only 7..I wish she had a similar song to her last album.. Chorus : You were my strength when I was weak You were my voice when I couldn't speak You were my eyes when I couldn't see You saw the best there was in me Lifted me up when I couldn't reach You gave me faith 'coz you believed I'm everything I am Because you loved me S7l136pDTmI

May 20, 201411 yr Wow Think Twice at only #9, I honestly thought that it would have been a lot higher and Because You Loved Me is one of my fave songs of her's shame it's out at #8, and I am totally surprised that Loved Me Back To Life is at #10, given the fact that it's so recent and didn't exactly light up the charts, but it's still a great song, my fave is It's All Coming Back To Me Now glad that hasn't been out yet It would be great if that's #1 on this rate but I wouldn't be surprised if My Heart Will Go On will be #1.
