May 1, 201411 yr Depends on what the first single is? The lack of break between eras is a risk. Surely them having lack of break is better?
May 1, 201411 yr Agreed. It's the constant breaks that have gotten them into this position. They haven't really been present in the charts since October anyway. Six months is long enough.
May 1, 201411 yr Radio 1 never playlist based on the song... it's always to do with the artist and their profile.
May 1, 201411 yr I don't think The Saturdays' will release a cover as the lead single for their greatest hits tbh.
May 3, 201411 yr Turned on Radio 1 only to hear 'Disco Love' being played! if they're still playing an 8 month old song by the Saturdays then I think they'll support the next single, I always hear Disco Love and sometimes What About Us on Radio 1 from time to time Edited May 3, 201411 yr by TheSatsLadyGaga

May 3, 201411 yr If that's the case then 'Not Giving Up' would have been supported... Not Giving Up was the 5th single off an album which didn't sell very well. Radio 1 supported the album's other singles so it's not the end of the world because Not Giving Up didn't receive the same treatment. Yes it would of been nice if Radio 1 play-listed the song or even just played it more but they didn't so on to the next one, They don't have to play/playlist every song an artist releases
May 3, 201411 yr Radio 1 don't work like that with their playlist. I agree they should, but they don't. They're buggers really. Edited May 3, 201411 yr by mr_aly
May 3, 201411 yr They have played Disco Love almost every day this week, very strange how they have consistently played it since it was released, at least once or twice a week. Who decides to put songs on permanent rotation? And why Disco Love?
May 5, 201411 yr Author I don't understand the Disco Love thing at all. It went C-C-B-B-OUT - their worst playlisting on Radio 1 (apart from Not Giving Up) - Not complaining, though, it's kept Disco Love in the top 600 - 800 on iTunes for A LOT longer than it probably would have otherwise. But unfortunately, I don't think this means they will still support the girls. They didn't support Flo Rida's newest effort, despite it doing reasonably well on iTunes. - But they played his old single 'Good Feeling' twice during the release week.
May 5, 201411 yr Disco Love was played on R1 today followed by a little plug for the album! heard in on my way home just after 4pm
July 15, 201410 yr Author Since the big day is tomorrow I thought I'd revive this thread and see how people are feeling about this now. (I know Disco Love got play-listed late but that very rarely happens). I have a feeling they'll be snubbed, because I so badly want to be wrong about that, as R1's playlisting will make a major difference in how the song does.
July 15, 201410 yr Their continued support for Disco Love to this day gives me hopes, but logic says that their time is running out. They have been insanely lucky to last this long considering all the groups and music acts in general that have risen and fallen during that time span. Damn, pretty much everyone who was a big novelty act in 2011 is musically dead at this point.
July 15, 201410 yr Why is tomorrow the "big day"? The fact that they got such a big segment in one of the main shows makes me hopeful of a c list playlist at least.

July 15, 201410 yr Author Why is tomorrow the "big day"? Tomorrow is when they release the playlists. And The structure is that songs released on the 10th of August will be C-listed tomorrow. Edited July 15, 201410 yr by JoeP
