It could have really been quite a big hit for them if circumstances had been different.

Doesn't it applied to literally everything The Saturdays do, though? Most of their underpeformances are because the circumstances have been bad.

Not Giving Up circumstances were dealthly bad though! The first time they didn't even appear on any kind of airplay chart. It was embarrassing.

Streaming is going to be counted in the charts from next month. Not good for the Saturdays AT ALL unless they manage an airplay hit.

100 streams = 1 single sale

That's quite heavily weighted towards sales. It won't really affect the top of the chart too much, I don't think. The bonus news is that streaming will be included towards certifications though!

Will they still provide the actual sales, though? I mean, the sales without the streaming.

Is it gonna work like in the US where they've got two charts?

It could either go well or go wrong for them in terms of streaming.

Yes. There'll be a breakdown of both sales and streams.

Well then it's not so bad. (Or is it? )

I mean, hey, it's working well in the US and it's 2014. Denying the importance of streaming is so 2008.

I'm not sure if The Sats will benefit from this as this'll encourage OA/OS and I'm not sure if they will reach the dazzling highs of #5 again

I assume only streams that take place in the UK will be counted, correct? The Sats usually manage about a million YouTube hits in their first week. That would equal 10,000 sales  Don't know how many of those are from outside the UK though.

I wonder if they will start premiering their music videos the same week as the single release then.

It is averaged that the most amount of sales an artist can get from streaming a week is 10,000 so don't worry :)

Yep, I was wrong to worry. Even if some songs get 10k, ona release week The Saturdays will get SOMETHING. On release week Disco Love got to like #43 on steaming and spent about 3 weeks in the top 100. It's not amazing, but should help a little.

It's proper streaming, no YouTube crap as far as I'm aware.

I better sign up to spotify then

Rochelle has unfollowed all the girls on Instagram :o

Okay I'm confused..

If you look at Instagram,Mollie,Rochelle and Vanessa aren't following any of the girls anymore and Frankie isn't following Rochelle or Una anymore.
