I agree. I'd rather they decided to call it a day before they become known as total flops and what they have achieved is totally forgotton about.

I do think the end is very near, but I'm OK with that. I know they haven't really depended on sales, but they have been getting top10s very consistently and that allowed them to keep a respectable profile. This airplay issue is very serious, because...it's very hard to overcome, especially in the UK. And we have seen that with the dozens of acts that have broke through and disappeared while The Saturdays were still trying to get a #1. Just look at poor Pixie Lott; it seems like it was yesterday when she was blocking All Fired Up out of the top, and now her latest single hasn't even entered the top100!

I was reading Danity Kane's news and I was thinking how damn lucky we've been as a fanbase to have these girls as our idols. They have gone through very serious problems: Vanessa's issues, Frankie's depression, those THREE pregnancies...and they've been able to make it work, somehow.

I look at other groups (not even all of those that also formed after 2008 and have disbanded already!) and I think we've been just so damn lucky they have released so many albums, seen how they updated their sound time after time and even got a GH with the b-sides.

I hope Mollie doesn't hit Frankie on her head, frankly.

What annoys me about the pregnancies is that those ALL had ramifications that could have been delayed.

Frankie's depression and Vanessa's alcohol problems are completely understandable but Una's pregnancy on AFU tour was a little disruptive but not entirely, don't even get me started on the wannabe getting pregnant at the most exciting stage of their career and Frankie missing Disco Love/delaying touring plans. If Vanessa/Mollie become pregnant or a fourth pregnancy is announced, I seriously think they should call it a day, they can't drag their poor kids around forever!

EDIT: Also the amount of side projects Una, Rochelle and Mollie have been doing too. It's only amount of time before one of them wants to pursue that completely and the group falls apart. Look at Girls Aloud!

Rochelle getting Sean pressed at every time of the day.

Only the Quen

On This Morning today, Marvin and Rochelle were presenting and saying what was going on next week. They have been running a promo for The Sats being on it on Monday all week, but when Marvin said Rochelle would be back with The Saturdays on Monday she looked shocked and as if this was the first she knew of it.
What Are You Waiting For was just played on Big Brother during Winston's eviction. Get that promo!!

No she didn't  She looked excited and said "we are! we are!!"

With the recent split of Danity Kane, I feel like we as the fans don't really appreciate how dedicated they are to the band. There are three mothers in the group now, they could have easily called it a day ages ago, but they didn't. I know it doesn't look like they are FULLY commited to the band because they seem to be on holidays often, but they have been going for 6-7 years now and they look like they could easily keep going if the circumstances are good to them and they are doing a lot of efforts to make their mother responsabilities work with their popstar responsabilities.

I don't know guys... Like these girls TRULY like eachother, enjoy eachother and they just match so perfectly and I think we just don't appreciate it enough. :/

You just know Frankie and Mollie aren't going to get behind the back of the other three to re-record some vocals, that's for sure!

The negativity of this thread. Look I know that things are bad at the moment and I'm probably being delusional but let's be positive. The single is out on Sunday hooray and it's exciting! Well get to watch the rise and fall of the single. I actually think the album could help the single sell though so I don't think it will be as bad as we all think.

That was at the end, when he said it before that. I swear she looked like how did I not know about this. Although this was when I was in the dentist and had a dentist on my face.

Yeah she definitely doesn't look like that, I re-watched it on the iPlayer

The dentist must have been blocking your view ;)

She was being rather annoying, jabbing me in the face.

Preach Hurricane!

What I find most bizarre is that some people still expect them to reach Chasing Lights/Headlines levels of success again; they clearly are not meant to and ideally should have been dropped nearly 3 years ago. I honestly think they enjoy the ability to create music; the fact the label makes money through their endorsements only exemplifies this. If you're not at a point where you can just appreciate and enjoy the music then I don't think you ever will be.

Rochelle getting Sean pressed at every time of the day.

Only the Quen wannabe

Corrected for ya ;)

We all appreciate the music though otherwise we wouldn't be here  (unless you're poster who enjoys a bit of shading!)

Back in the CL/W/H days there weren't any distractions because they were all committed 100%. Whereas now they're off presenting This Morning, working on fashion lines, doing work for Reebok etc etc. Yes, that gets them endorsements but that's only a finite supply of work - I can't remember who established the fact but when they flop even harder if they release album six onwards, no one is going to want them to be the face of Very.co.uk or Oasis fashion, are they? It just seems that the girls love what they do otherwise they'd have split, but I don't think the commitment is there anymore otherwise these side projects etc would be toned down a lot. And if say the group go on for another five years, you could potentially have five more babies, five more side projects, tours, album and single promotions to do. If they can't handle/be bothered to work in what SHOULD be a relatively easy era (Greatest Hits) then how are they going to dedicate themselves to say three singles from a sixth album?

I want to be wrong as I love them as a group (Even Rochelle but I think if this era flops, album six will be in the bin. If it goes a success, it'll be album six and dependent on that, make or break for them, and if they show the same amount of commitment to that as they have LFTW/GH, then they'll be gone for sure.

[[ Sorry for going on a bit! ]]

'we got the disco love so fun and colourful... ❤❤❤

Mollie is on R1 at 9PM tomorrow for the surgery. It's quite nice because a few people do actually listen to that compared to other evening shows, but I'd still like them to make an appearance in the day some time. She should play the radio edit of the megamix!

I always think when the girls do split, Mollie could do radio, her voice is precious :D

I've never thought of her doing radio as always assumed her going for fashion lines and modelling :o So true though

The advantages of Mollie King knowing the main DJ on the surgery. I don't think they will play the megamix - I'm almost positive that they will only play 'What Are You Waiting For'.

I'm still disappointed management could not have got them a slot on ITV or ITV2 " Night In With The Saturdays" :(
