Lindsey Stirling Heading for Top Debut on Billboard 200 Chart

Billboard (April 30th 2014):

"Classical crossover artist Lindsey Stirling is set to earn the highest debut on the Billboard 200 albums chart next week. The violinist's new dance-meets-classical album, "Shatter Me," was released on Tuesday, April 29 and could enter the chart at No. 2 -- so say industry forecasters. Sources project the set to sell somewhere in the range of 50,000 to 70,000 copies by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, May 4.

Meanwhile, the soundtrack to "Frozen" will likely nab a lucky 13th week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart..

Following Stirling, watch for Ray LaMontagne's new "Supernova" to bow with around 40,000 or so."

'Frozen' Soundtrack Heading Toward 13th Week at No. 1 on Billboard 200

Billboard (May 2nd 2014):

"Disney's "Frozen" soundtrack, which has racked up 12 nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, seems likely to spend a 13th week at No. 1 on the tally. The album could sell another 90,000 to 100,000 copies in the tracking week ending May 4, industry forecasters suggest.

That should greatly outpace the likely No. 2 set, the debuting "Shatter Me" from classical crossover violinist Lindsey Stirling. The independently distributed album could start with between 50,000 and 60,000 copies."

Can't quite believe Lindsay has held onto so much relevancy :o I know her début has had a rather immense chart run but I really thought she'd be a one-album thing. 50k is rather spectacular for her.

Iggy falling only to #5 is also really impressive, could have been much further.

Lindsey is doing great, she was so nice when I met her! Really deserves all the success, even if I didn't expect it.
Wow, that's excellent for Lindsey, never knew she was shifting that much even with her first album. I really must check out more of her material sometime.

When did you meet her? :o

From some of her YouTube videos I didn't always get a great impression of her, but it's nice to see someone who is certainly unique doing so well.
