Easily The Saturday's most underrated track. I still can't believe they never performed this on tour. I don't think it would have worked as a single but it doesn't take away how fantastic the song is. POPTASTIC.

I missed these kind of lyrics. I think the only thing 'Chasing Lights'

really

has over their recent albums is more mature and sophisticated lyrics. They have done songs just as good as 'Lies' and 'Chasing Lights' plenty of times, but never really reached the level of these lyrics with their recent output, despite having songs about love and breakup.

 

I think the thing that comes close would be 'Last Call', but even that, although I absolutely love it, kinda sounds (at some places) like poem written in class. [Don't get me wrong, I think the strong point of 'Last Call' is the fact that the lyrics are relatable more than sophisticated and mature and maybe that's just as good.] Anyhow, I don't exactly blame the girls or their A&R. Ina, who is behind the lyrics of 'Lies' and 'Chasing Lights', didn't exactly give them the same level of lyrics with 'Faster', 'White Lies' or 'Notorious' did she?

 

Oh, now that I think about it, 'My Heart Takes Over' come close too.
