does a video affect the enjoyment of an entry for you? does a good video aid a bad song, or will a bad video accompanying a good song drag it down for you? have you ever sent a song that you love as an entry, but hated the video so you didn't use? do you prefer they have one no matter what?

i know in the past i've used my own uploaded static video in place of the normal video because i thought it was too goofy / too ~censored

I think a video CAN make a bad song good, especially if it's a good video. It helps connect with the song sometimes, especially if it's an emotional video. Other times like to just said, it's helps if there isn't a video though.

Yes, definitely, this is why I listen to the video links rather than download the MP3s. A great video can give a song more meaning, obviously there's only so much it can do if you don't like the song, but I can always appreciate the song more with a good, well thought out video

As for a good song with a rubbish video, it depends. If I really love the song, it obviously doesn't make much of a difference, but if it's just 'good' or borderline in my rankings, it doesn't tend to stick in my mind as much and suffers as a result.

Saying this as someone that very rarely comes across some good music videos for my own entries and sends SC links, but discovering them here is still great.

The only entry of mine where I've particularly felt like people should watch the video is Take Me To Church. Moreso because it's stunning in it's own right than adding to the song particularly
