This is a pretty decent song, to be fair.

I mean I did like 'Nasty' but in hindsight it is fairly novelty, this is more credible sounding.

Still, I'm not convinced she can get a hit with anything now.

If that's a Dusty cover on the EP I'm READY for it *.*

It is indeed! It's already available as part of the soundtrack for Postman Pat - The Movie!

'Lay Me Down' pre-order is only 59p :o The label are really getting this right. If it goes high on pre-orders I'm sure radio will be willing to play it more!

Great choice. Probably the best decision leading into the album.

I just seen her performance on Paul O'Grady and It was really good - I can't help but think she would have been in a much better position had she decided against 'Nasty' being the lead single. I can really see 'Lay Me Down' being playlisted by Radio1 and becoming a top 3 hit - I don't think it's pop enough to be #01 but regardless it's an absolutely fantastic single. I'm hoping that it gets some sort of Radio premiere.

I still can't believe how fantastic it is that Pixie's label are selling 'Lay Me Down' for 59p - it will get much more radio airplay the higher it is on iTunes before release.

'Lay Me Down' never managed to go top 1500 unfortunately which is surprising.

I think that may just be because she sells more EPs than singles for pre-orders. I'n sure it will start to climb once radio kicks in

On another note, 'Pixie Lott' re-appears at #1183 whilst Lay Me Down slips to #503

Pixie will struggle with this era. The single i believe will manage top 15 and fall away reasonably fast and the album likewise.
I really don't know what's going on with 'Lay Me Down'. I'm surprised it's not had a radio premiere. Pixie has performed 'Lay Me Down' on Paul O Grady and CBBC and has not bothered challenging the top 1500 on iTunes.
Tbh I think she should have performed it on Alan Carr instead. I don't think paul o Grady is as popular as it used to be and CBBC won't have much of an impact at all as 5 year olds are not gonna really pre order songs. I think a radio premiere will come with the video
