Commentary : In 2010 Popcaan reached number 2 in my chart on Vybz Kartel's song "Clarks". He goes one better in 2014 as the tribute song "Only Jah knows" jumps from 3 to 1. I heard the track on a bus in Kingston, St Vincent around 2 months ago, although Popcaan actually comes from near Kingston, Jamaica. As Kiesza slips from 1 to 4, two challengers for next weeks number one fill the rest of the Top 3. And it's a melancholic Top 2 as Lykke Li's heart wrenching track written for a forthcoming film about a cancer victim "Fault in our stars" rises from 6 to 2. Meanwhile Dutch singer European smash "Waves" continues his belated rise up my chart climbing from 5 to 3.

All of last week's new entries make big climbs this week. Enrique Iglesias massive latino hit "Bailando" is the biggest climber from 16 to 8, Seinabo Sey rises from 15 to 9 to make it two female Swedish singers in the Top 10, and Sam Smith gets 2 in the Top 10 as the follow up to "Stay with me", "Leave your lover" rises from 17 to 10. Just one new entry this week but it's an unusual one.... Silva Gunbardhi, Mandi and Dafi are Albanian singers and their track "Te ka lali shpirt" has been much played in clubs and the radio in south eastern Europe having over 39 million youtube views to date ...not bad for a track in a language spoken by little more 7 million people.
