Leah McFall, a finalist from the 2013 series of The Voice UK, will be announcing the title of her first single this week! This follows the promotional single 'No Ordinary Love' released earlier this year. She posted the following announcement on Facebook:

 

I am so excited to finally be able to announce the title of my FIRST single this week!!! But first let me tell you this... I've been blessed to travel the world this year, be in LA and go on a Europe/UK tour with Will. But I will be dedicating my first single to Northern Ireland. Because it's been in this year that I have truly realised ... There is just no place like home.

Finally. I thought we'd never get this considering how long it's taken her!

I'm excited to hear it I love her voice I just hope radio supports her as I feel like she has huge potential .

Slayah McFall coming for #1 and all the basic bitches' weaves etc.

Looks like she has Will on board with this

She made a Spotify playlist to hint at the single title too and the word all the songs had in common was "Home".

Hope its not as boring as No Ordinary Love

Good decision to get will.i.am to feature (possibly) on the track. It'll hopefully generate more interest around the song as I think they've left it fairly late.

She should have release and prided when the voice was on

I hope she doesn't go down the Jessie J route of oversinging and annoying vocal ticks. I'd imagine she has infinitely more self-awareness in that regard though.

 

Although, that picture of the video set does look a little 'Price Tag'-esque which doesn't exactly bode well :mellow:.

The single is called 'Home' and features will.i.am!

 

Really interested in what this is like. She is an oddball (in the nicest way!).

Lots of pitfalls- too much jazz, too self indulgent, too much Will (for me anyhows) but no doubt she has talent.

ooh good to see she's still trying to happen. I thought she would've released her debut single a lot earlier than this though. Could potentially be a big hit, depends on what it sounds like I guess but I can see her doing an Ella Henderson

Looking forward to this I hope it's good and hopefully with Will on the song it will get supported by radio .

The single is released on July 27th so hopefully we should get to hear the song in the next couple of weeks! :D
