Commentary : The original of the Mr Probz track "Waves" has been on the Dutch charts for over a year with a peak position of only 5 but the Robin Schulz remix is this weeks pan European top track ending Pharrell's 16 week run with "Happy". On my chart it is the original of "Waves" which finally reaches number one this week. Enrique Iglesias, Seinabo Sey and Sam Smith continue their charges up the chart at 4,5 and 6. Ed Sheeran set to be this week's UK number one creeps into my Top 10 in his 8th week in the Top 20. Two new entries in the chart both having a retro feel. Paloma Faith enters at 15 with the 60's and Amy Winehouse influenced track "Only love can hurt like this" ... it is the first appearance on my chart for the English singer who achieved her highest placing yet in the UK chart at 6. At 17 is "Love never felt so good" a song co written by Paul Anka and Michael Jackson with the latter recording it in 1983.. 31 years later it gets released posthumously and becomes a huge hit as a duet with Justin Timberlake. There are 2 re-entries this week and both tracks scored highly in my chart towards the end of 2013... "Rude" ended at 20 in the year end chart and "Stolen Dance" at 31 and re-enter this week as "Rude" hits the US Top 10 and "Stolen Dance" sits at 2 in Australia.
