Posted September 5, 200618 yr Well, basically this is a thread to discuss the many great and scary deaths in horror movies. Which horror death scenes did you enjoy, or scared the pants off you. Which left an impression on you and which made you just want to :puke2: .
September 5, 200618 yr my fav is tatum in scream, getting squashed in the garage door, others that i can remember are the teacher in final destination (probably the best scripted death ever) and the girl in halloween 4 as well, the one who gets the rifle jabbed through her chest and is impailed on the wall
September 5, 200618 yr Its not technically a horror movie but...the guy from Snakes On a Plane who goes to the toilet and never comes out, well that really left an impression for me as i cannot imagine how painful it must have being. :o
September 5, 200618 yr Some of Chucky's deaths in the Childs Play series Ewwwwwwwwwww Being shredded by a propeller, exploding through a hose filling up stomach to bursting point etc
September 5, 200618 yr Well, basically this is a thread to discuss the many great and scary deaths in horror movies. I so want to re edit this to say Well, basically this is a thread to discuss the many great and pi$$ funny scary deaths in horror movies. anything with Vas Blackwood and Paris Hilton getting it getts a bonus star on the review  also Snakes On A Plane and Final Destination 3 had some pi$$ funny deaths in it.
September 5, 200618 yr Its not technically a horror movie but...the guy from Snakes On a Plane who goes to the toilet and never comes out, well that really left an impression for me as i cannot imagine how painful it must have being. :o actually Snakes On A Plane is a horror movie (as well as being a thriller, a disaster movie, an action and p*** funny - ouch - so post-modern it hurts  ). think the problem is that everybody is just getting confused with the stalk and slash area of horror and all the other areas, like vampires, monsters, etc etc they are all part of a wider horror genre area. and remember a lot of the Italian stalker films from the 70s are also dectective thrillers and so on. it's very rare that one fill only is smack bang in one tight genre (well apart from Lady In The Water, which is in a genre of it's own, one marked c**p)

September 5, 200618 yr Well it certainley didn't look like a horror to me. well i suppose you are not scared of snakes then  its the same part of horror that has all the things like Arachnophobia, the birds and 8 Legged Freaks (which is olso action, sf and comedy) and also, shifting sub-genres for a moment, it can be said that one of the best Haunted House movies ever made is actually... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/c/c3/Alien_movie_poster.jpg even the poster has a horror tagline. looking at the satisfaction ratings of the film a much better bet than getting Thi13een Ghosts or house on the haunted hill, but i suppose the sf (outer space subsection) elements might put loads of people off.
September 5, 200618 yr Some of Chucky's deaths in the Childs Play series Ewwwwwwwwwww Being shredded by a propeller, exploding through a hose filling up stomach to bursting point etc They're funny! 4 is sad though at the end. :(
September 5, 200618 yr well i suppose you are not scared of snakes then  I am actually scared of snakes though. Compared to Eight Legged Freaks, Snakes On a Plane does actually have some sort of a plot other than giant spiders crawling over everywere. I guess both of them are kinda like horror comedys but Snakes On a Plane has elemnts if a thriller if you know what I mean. ;)
September 5, 200618 yr Is Snakes On A Plane any cop? Going to see it at Trafford Centre On Friday Worth going like?
September 5, 200618 yr Author Is Snakes On A Plane any cop? Going to see it at Trafford Centre On Friday Worth going like? I've seen it, its not bad
September 5, 200618 yr Yeah its really good Nathan. :P Its right you your street as its like the films you likethe most. ^_^
September 5, 200618 yr The final scene of "Ringu" is a classic piece of sheer terror - Sadako slowly walks towards the edge of the TV screen, and then comes through into the real world to claim her final victim... The Death of Franklin in "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" is also pretty horrifying as well, not least because you are just TOTALLY unprepared for it happening..
September 6, 200618 yr Casey Becker Murder Scream Its Amazing  But still frightens the hell out of me!
September 6, 200618 yr The final scene of "Ringu" is a classic piece of sheer terror - Sadako slowly walks towards the edge of the TV screen, and then comes through into the real world to claim her final victim... Iv'e only seen the american version of it and i didn't find it that scary really The Death of Franklin in "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" is also pretty horrifying as well, not least because you are just TOTALLY unprepared for it happening.. which one was franklin
September 6, 200618 yr which one was franklin the one with the wheels. The guy being draqgged under the floor boards by a demon in Evil Dead 2 was pretty amazing for me as a kid, lol.
September 6, 200618 yr the one with the wheels. oh right, that bit did make me jump, when i'm scared i jit my leg, a bit like the man wh ogot his pants caught on the nail as he was being hit with the sledgehammer
September 6, 200618 yr Iv'e only seen the american version of it and i didn't find it that scary really Well, that's basically because the Yanks made "Samara" a cute and cuddly widdle gurl whereas Nakata made "Sadako" a quite terrifying force of sheer, unadulterated, fukkin' EVIL VENGEANCE.....
September 6, 200618 yr Well, that's basically because the Yanks made "Samara" a cute and cuddly widdle gurl whereas Nakata made "Sadako" a quite terrifying force of sheer, unadulterated, fukkin' EVIL VENGEANCE..... i know, i saw bit of it on the 100 greatest scary moments on channel 4, her face was a mauled and her fingernails had been ripped off and everything
